Posiview's TP52 2016. Week 52 Celebrate added. FINISHED :)

A cacti is the very antithesis of liquid - a highly original take on the theme Andy.

Oooo after - they are superb mate, the colour in 2 is excellent, but the detail in the first is my fav, such a glow !!!

Alien - It's been a loooooong 1.5 weeks since back from my holiday and it took me a while to work out where you were with this, good idea to say the least, liking the dirty look and the vignette, I hope Miss Jones didn't charge for this one ;)

Liquid - You have been with @Cobra WAY too long :D

<cough> Crowbar <cough>

Interesting take on the theme, I'm not too keen on the OOF spines in the forground.

Cheers original is a compliment

Cheers Dean, it's a random persons car which is why I didn't use a tripod :)

Crowbar, original idea, all the same to me ;)

A Leon is clever! And you cacti is nice and sharp!

Cheers.

Like your lateral thinking on the theme and very clever. The close-up just on the spikes work well and I also like the oof border.

Cheers.

Yeah, this was actually a stack of three shots of sime test shots. The photographs I was going to use didn't come out too well so I had to use the test shots, something to remember in future.

Cheers all.

Great photo of a cactus, I'll comment further once I have understood it.

Left field alright....but In which neighbouring stadium are we talking.. it's a mind boggling effect all those spikes though.

Some good shoehorning, word-play, antithesis and stuff,

a leon looks good but dirty around the chrome edges, perhaps the high ISO doesn't help.

re cacti .... not too keen on the OOF spines in the FG ... but yes I've seen your response to that.

well that is certainly left field, well done, the OOF spines are fine for me

But I'd have posted a Camel :D
( and very nearly did )

Left field indeed Andy (y)

Nice idea Andy, not one of my favourites of yours, but a very original idea for the theme. Maybe a slightly more side on angle would make the spines more 'spiny' o_O

Thanks all, yup leftfield/shoehorn :)

Cheers.

From a recent Lakes trip with @blondie606

Got up at the crack of dawn and thought I'd cracked it when the sky was cloudless and half moon.

I've posted it, however, I'm not happy with it. Just two images stacked so a little blurry

Bloody wonderful sight to behold, though.

Cheers all.

I have never seen the milky way something I have always wanted to witness. Excellent attempt, what a sight it must have been.

Groan !!!!

I like the effect that the DoF has on your eyes. It would be interesting to see what a perfectly stacked image would be like, but somehow I think I would prefer it as is.

Crack (of dawn) - You're being too critical on yourself, that's a great image. Not something we ever see in London (though I have seen it at Land's End - lying on my back in the field at the back of the pub ;) )

SH.jpg

Nothing to add, save to say, that's a cracking image Andy

Agree Andy, that is a cracking image !!!

It must be critical as to the length of exposure to get the sharpest of images in one shot, if that is even possible at all... do you shoot wide open focused on infinity, or was it closed up a bit to get the foreground in detail ??

No crit from me Andy other the to say wow that is a stunning image.

Wooo nice. FG too, fence, gate and stuff.

Thanks all, if you get a chance, get out and have a go

Cheers.

Wow, that's amazing. Only ever seen the milky way once, your picture does it full justice. Brilliant.

Looks like there are some trails or camera movement between the two exposures but nicely done none-the-less, I've had a few tries at it and it's not easy.

seeings as this is imo, an amazing shot of your crack Andy... is the best time to attempt this:

little or no moon? i know you say half moon...
cloudless...
high up in a dark spot ie away from populace

i'm thinking of tripping over to Brecon or Northumberland at some point

Nice be of astro photography. I like the well exposed rock in the foreground. But I find the milky way a bit 'too much'. I guess you have tried shorter exposure / lower ISO...
