A very striking image - well done for the concept & execution. I'm curious - could we see the shot without the heavy vignette?

Cheers, Phil, @philthejuggler the photograph was taken in my living room and the flash spilled onto the BG which is visible without the vignette :(

Old - as a parent I can relate to the Idea of your baby getting older
Metal - I like the portraits best nice interpretation on theme
Captive - Strong image very brave. the colour one is definitely best.
 
Captive - Colour version for me too! Love the vignette effect and you're certainly bang on theme too, great shot - very brave!
How did you actually 'take' the shot Andy? Remote? Timer? A glamorous assistant? ;)

That's really quite clever - neat idea and well executed. As you say, bang on theme!
 
Nice and sharp with a very clean background. #2 for me as well as the first one has too much empty space for me and the bottle detail is a bit lost.
 
Hi Andy. Definitely on theme. A close call but Yes, I think probably #2 for me too - more prominent an image. I like the clean bg and the reflection in that pin head.

Hi Andy, the first one for me I like its isolation in the frame, bit of a drop shadow has been mentioned but as always a well thought out image
 
A fascinating idea - there is something about it that messes with my depth perception - can't quite work out where the bottle sits relative to the head!
 
I had thought of doing something along those lines but glad I didn't now because I would never have got anything as good as yours. Nice details on the pin, I think I prefer the first.

Thanks for the positive comments, folk. I did have an issues with the bottle appearing to float, it does't but seems to appears that it is :)

One from the TP meet at Ribblehead.

I was cold, I was wet. I was hungry. I was thirsty. I was tired and I had a banging headache....but I was ssoooo happy to be there. Spent around 2 hours scouting for a location to photograph a train that was due over at 09:30 the morning after :geek:

I found all the elements for a great photograph but none of them were in the same place :)

@Mardybum and @mickledore decided to meet at Dent Viaduct and we managed see the train and, hopefully, get some keeps :)

Anyway, and yes, it's another selfie :p, my Happy. There was a better composition but two cars were in the BG, how very dare they :bat:

Miniature ... I think I prefer #1 ... it's more miniature

Happy ... would be nice to see more of the viaduct but standing in between the camera and the cars was a good idea. Happiness :beer:
