Posiview's Photo 52 'Nature' added **FINISHED!!**

Nice one Andy....bunny caught in headlights...!!! Or hardened prisoner on the run...finally cornered... Bit too much frazz on my phone...I thought when you said we had the same idea... I didn't envisage this..?

Hey Andy,

Wow that was a brave thing smoking for your Living shot (especially if you don't normally smoke). I must say when I looked at the shot before reading the text I didn't quite see the connection ... but then the penny dropped. You've already mentioned the other critique so I won't repeat. Well done though.

You should have issued a warning to wear  to view #1 of light .... I have been blinded  I find the half tucked in shirt and jeans a bit distracting ... but that's probably because I'm always telling Roo to tuck his shirt in :D The focus is certainly better in #1, but I have to say the facial expression in #2 seems to fit the idea of the subject better.

Also on #2 there is some marks on the white background that could do with cloning out, by you head, fingers and right of the image.

Now I'm going to need a few moments to regain my sight before viewing others projects :p

Well done

Cheers

Dawn :)

Hi Andy

Living.....keep looking at this shot....thinking I like it...the focus you've already mentioned...I can imagine how hard it was to get as much in focus as you've done so a big

Light....Dawn's right....SUNGLASSES NEEDED ! #1 is the better of the two for me....focus appears better...not sure about the hands though....maybe I'm getting confused with the Bright theme ? I continue to be impressed at your thought process..never in a million years would I have thought of doing that image...good work mister

Living, as a recovering smoker I really look at that and wonder...why did I? Good one. Not sure about the exposure, maybe it's 'ugly' that is the correct portrayal....:thinks:

Light, Exposure #1 is just far too much for me, but #2 really does demonstrate the effect of light. I like it.

Yeah, the cornered prisoner is what I had in mind.

I purchased 10 Silk Cut because I want to redo my Living; I'm not happy with the focusing.

Lighting, indeed, my face on #2 isn't faked, it was quite painful....

The marks on #2, I think I need to replace my BGs as they've been bashed about a bit.

Thanks, #1 is by far my favourite. I really like how parts are totally gone.

Yeah, the exposure is oooffffff....

Thanks all. Just waiting for the family to retire the bed so I can do a reshoot of my living.

I have a few more ideas for light and hope to get them done during the week

Cheers.

Andy.....have to say it...but that photo falls way off mark...that dali impression really isn't cute...

But cuteness is in the eye of the beholder....and beauty is only skin deep....though in your case Andy....you're inside out...

sorry to say it andy...but your daughter is far more fitting to the theme than that of your first submission... i do prefer the mono... but then..i've been mono for the last two months..

Andy, Isabelle is much more cute than your first submission ;)

i like that you've composed the image 'away' from the norms, off centre positioning, clipping her head etc...works well particularly as she helped with her pose ;)

Well done  I prefer the detail in the colour version but wonder if the sharpening didn't get a bit overcooked?

I won't argue with that....

Thanks, Tina. I really worked on the composure and wanted something slightly different. You are, of course, right about the (over) sharpening.

Cheers.

Hiya Andy,

 I have to say your first photo for cute ..... is cute in a very scary sort of way.

The less processed photo of Isabelle is my preferred choice. I'm not so keen on the mono purely because the eyes are too dark and Isabelle has such beautiful eyes that are lost with the B&W treatment.

Cheers

Dawn :)

ANDY!!!... if santa does not bring me the Chopper bike i asked for back in 1979 THIS year...!!! i'll know who to come looking for ...your avatar is all the proof i need!

Thanks, I agree about the processing, but like to experiment.

Hi Andy

much prefer the 3rd image of Isabelle...better without the OTT processing

Damn you Photoshop...:bonk:

I've got a few ideas for Talk, which I hope to get done tonight....

Cheers.

Sorry I've not been around in a while, I've wanted to, but I cannot look until I know my idea, and then when I knew my idea you'd post the following weeks image and I hadn't even done the week before, and then I ended up three weeks behind! You forgive me?

Anyway, I turn my back on you for two minutes and you've taken up smoking, had your mug shot done my the police and have to put up with your daughter pulling tongues at you!

Living - I like the idea, once I read the comment I could see your thinking. I think you're right about the eyes too, but don't do a re-shoot, smoking is a killer! Plus it makes your clothes stink.

Bright - Very good. I can't pic a fav, but I love the idea and defo out of the box.

Cute - Don't they grow old so quick. I'm seeing cheeky, defiant and rude, but (and this is in no way a slur on the lovely Isobelle), I don't see cute. Oh, I see star too, as she's yet again been a little star helping you, I trust Santa has seen how good she's been this year!!

I promise not to leave it so long next time, well that is if I can get my 'Talk' shot sorted!

Come on the 14th!!

No problems, Neil, we all have lives outside togging...

Smoking....:gag: I could smell the smoke for days after.

Cute, I agree. She used to have this really cute grin and I couldn't get her to do it again. Then last night, she did it, but no camera....:bonk:

Santa.....she'll have an apple and be grateful....:rules:

Cheers.

Well, plenty of ideas and I'm happy with the concepts below, but the execution I'm not happy with. What I need is an assistant.

Poor Isabelle and Jackie were quite fed up with the number of photographs I took and in the end I cut short and worked with what I had.

3 different interpretations.

#1, well, I just had to...:D
#2, another self portrait focus nightmare and Flickr has mashed up the colours....
#3, Thanks Isabelle and Jackie. Isabelle rarely needs a good talking to, but for dramatic purposes Jackie managed it.

Andy....Andy...Andy

..first image...no. Sorry but that's the easy way out.worse than a dictionary without dof ..

..second save that for the meet in Jan... :D

..third..great perspective from the first person. Your model is adding some drama..but it looks more like THE talk opposed to ..a telling off.. Still with hands over ears clearly shows the defiance to listen to whatever that pointed finger is says

......but never forget Andy ...when you point the finger at someone....think how many are pointing back at YOU...!!

Well done..I've not given this one theme thought....not even been near the camera...noooo..really...I haven't :)

#1 well someone had to do it.
#2 I do like this - apart from my dodgy hair...:shake:
#3 poor Isabelle, as soon as I get my camera, she runs off...
Well Andy, that took some doing.

#1 needs a filter to control the (forgotten the word) effects on the monitor.
#2...says 'no talk' and is competent
#3 is competent, on theme and entertaining :D My preference. Isabelle is on the road to stardom ;)

#1, I agree
#2, thanks
#3, told Isabelle what you said and she didn't believe me so I showed her and she became all shy...:D

Thanks.

Not much feedback on my Talk...:'(

So onto Weather... It's been a bit  weather wise in Leeds so no real opportunities to do a weather related photograph so I had a wonder in Roundhay park this afternoon.

#1 and #2 are of a weathervane which caught my eye. The sky was abysmal with almost zero detail. Hence B&W conversions.

#3 and #4 show a weathered life buoy. Only issue is that Flickr has, again, sucked some of the wonderful colours out of them.

Hi Andy, I somehow missed your talk shots. I hadn't even thought of tp being included in a pic for the theme! Very apt! The pic of Isabelle is quite good, looks like she has had enough of your talking!!
As for weather, I like both of the first 2, slightly preferring the crop of number 1. The weathered lifebuoy looks good, shame it has lost some colour, I imagine it looks alot better on your screen. I am wondering if a letterbox style crop for the 2nd lifebuoy would work?

Hiya Andy,

Ever get the feeling that you are convinced you have commented on a fellow 52 thread .... and then realise you haven't ..... even though you have seen the photos that many times? ..... well this is one of them ;)

With your talk ....... the screen dump of TP is a bit predictable .... so I won't comment on same .... except to re-it what Tina said.

The second image is a different, yet good interpretation of the theme ..... I just don't like how you have made your head look like an egg head! (when clearly you are on in the natural form  .... joke xxx)

The weather vane shots are good ..... but I really don't see 'weather' in the buoys. Unless you are referring to the weather they receive from being in the see for such lengths of time  (I'm sorry .... this one just doesn't gel with me :(

Cheers

Dawn :)

Blooming 11-16mm lens...honest. I just looked in the mirror and OMG my head is actually shaped like an egg...

Weathered was my intention. I'm not too content with my weather submissions, on reflection. I have an idea that I might get for weather tomorrow morning, (cold) weather permitting.

Cheers.

 your head is not like an egg .... I have seen it  .... if I was you I would put it down to lens distortion

I have to say your 'weahtered' shot was a bit predictable ..... I had thought of the same idea .... but the mother nature played in my favour today .....

I just need to knuckle down and get the pics uploaded .... hopefully tonight ...... hmmmm may need another glass of sherry for inspiration

Dx

Andy...number two without a doubt.....no wait...one...no two.....no one......let's settle for the vane sake..

Mono tick...
detail tick...
foreboding sky tick....

That's my boxes ticked for weather.... Well done
