Posiview's Photo 52 'Nature' added **FINISHED!!**

Thanks, Dawn.

I spent the most time on this one adjusting the brightness and couldn't quite decide.

Regarding the collage, I tried to do it in PS but it was taking too long so I just downloaded 'Collage Maker 3.60' (free) and used the 'auto collage'...bit lazy, I know but I had to move onto my 365...:gag:

Boarder was one of those :woot: moment and I'm quite happy with it, but it was a bit rushed.

I have to say, It's quite a relief to have finished this week's theme .

Just checked my gmail and noticed you're done your chaos so I'll have a looksee..

Cheers.

Hiya Andy,

Thanks for the link to Collage Maker 3.60, I'll have a looksie at that.

The few collages that I have done I have used Picasa, which is quite easy to use. I'll try Collage Maker and do a comparison and let you know what I think.

Well done on finishing this week so quickly, now you can sit back and relax (oh now wait you mentioned 365) something I have been trying to keep up with too and find it is getting to 11pm at night before I get the shot. Still have to catch up on uploading my 365 images to flickr.

Cheers

Dawn :)

This has got to be a wind up....

Hiya Andy,

I think you have done well, although I think some of the images are a tad too dark and would have brought more interest to the image if they were a bit brighter.

Cheers

Dawn :)

Did a bit of dodge and burn and I agree, it does look a bit better.

Thinking back, I could have spent more time on this one but I kept banging my head on the roof beams and not time for a reshoot this week.

Never mind....

Cheers.

Hiya Andy,

 I like that .... much better with the added colour and light.

Cheers

Hi Andy,

By making a collage you have added to the Chaos feeling. Great idea, nicely done. Perfect lighting too.

Looking forward to meeting you and the others on the 8th

Martin

+1 on the revamped pic. Great take on the theme.

another +1 here, looks even better now.

Hey Andy, you are welcome .... after all that is what we are all here for in this Photo52 ... to learn from each other ;)

Cheers

Hi Andy,

Just looked through your Photo52 and I really like 'Open', 'Hard' and 'Chaos'.

I like open because, although it might sound obvious, it really shouts out the word open when I look at it, and I like the colouring on it too.

Hard to resist....yes definitely! I like how you have used the word 'hard' in this theme :D I love the kind of 'cool' filter you have on it as it reminds me of getting up on a bright sunday morning and cooking a nice bacon sarnie!

For chaos, although I think the extra colour and brightness is good, I prefer your original post (just my personal opinion), as I like how the chaos is creeping out when you shine the light on it....it reminds me of what people try to do when life gets a bit chaotic - forget about it and put it to the back of your mind in a dark corner, see what I mean or not really?

Really catching on to some of your photos - I'll be keeping an eye on this each week :D

Will :D.

Hi, Will thanks for the feedback; and I really must take more time to review the comments (complimentary and, possibly more importantly, the critical) as I've just realised I've just been skimming over them, and possibly not taking advantage of having, I guess, dozens of tutors, if you know what I mean...

Cheers.

Oooops ,seem to have missed your chaos shot Andy ,apologies:bonk:

Great idea & love the collage effect , still trying to decide which I prefer but think the lightened one just nudges ahead  Would have been interesting to see your original light painting idea though.......

"They're not!", "They are!", "They're not!", "They are!", "They're not!", "They are!"....

Back and forth it went, my lovely wife is adamant that my jeans are: over the hill, kerput, beyond repair, getting on a bit, moth-eaten....indeed, finished.

I'm still not convinced and foresee us having several more years together...(the jeans, I mean....:D)

Hi Andy

great idea for the theme & well shot  Only little niggle is possibly cropped a little too much on the left of both shots as your thumb tip is missing .

ps...they look just about worn in , loads of life left in them yet me thinks :D

Nice image though ;)

Ppfft, ages left...;)

Yeah, I didn't crop. I was on a timer and I had to run in before the click, and this was the best I could get before I had to zoom out to my mum's. Not getting much daylight to photograph in these days so I may not be able to reshoot.

Thanks.

Hiya Andy,

Holey Miss Moley! now that is a pair of jeans that has seen better days

Hope you only wear those to do the gardening and not to frequent Costa's :D

Nothing that a bit of a stitch and patch here and there won't fix and then I think they might just outlive you

Have to agree with Lynne about the thumbs, but otherwise I think you have done well.

Cheers

Dawn :)

Good few years of wear in those yet - you hang on to them ;)

Great shot and I like the processing. Really like the DOF

Agree about the thumbs, but it's a minor point for me.

Cheers, Patrick. I'm going to reshoot with my wife's assistance to get my thumb in...:).

nice gritty processing. tell you what I'm still stumped on this weeks

Cheers, mate, yeah, I spend quite a bit of time on the processing. First thing I do when the theme comes out is find a defintion via Google and paste it as my desktop background which works for me and does give me inspiration...:cuckoo:

Cheers.

Hi Andy,
They certainly are Finished. In fact if you wear them for next weeks tp meet I wont be joining you in the pub afterwards lol. Seriously though, great idea and great shots. I personally prefer image 2 for the theme, walking away , finish .
Nice work:thumbs:

Martin

Cheers, Martin, if I put these on to go out Jackie will nick my camera...;)

See you Tuesday..

I love the processing - what are your secrets?!
I'm amazed that you managed to get such good shots by running in on a timer as well! Very impressive.

As a weirdo, I like your original chaos...there has to be one and today it is me :coat:

As for your jeans...suspiciously clean them, not finished til they stand up on their own ;) Agree with others regarding the crop but otherwise I like the idea

Not like you to be contrary, Tina...;)

Nothing specific, I'm afraid, first processed in Topaz Adjust, then levels, curves, highlights/shadows (in Photoshop)....just a lot of tinkering. More often than not, it comes out looking like a dog's dinner.

I'm going to have a reshoot on Saturday (damn missing thumb..:bang:) with my wife's help and I'm going to add a finishing touch that I had today!!

Cheers.

Hi Andy,

Really like the clarity and sharpness of your 'Finish' photo....the jeans do look a bit finished! :)

I think the two photos together work well too.

Regards
Will. :D

This was one of them, "Yeehhaarrr, I've got this week's theme....ISABELLEEE, I need your help!".

I might review later in week if I have any better ideas and resubmit.

Not totally happy, though. First time I've really photographed anything moving and I feel the shutter speed should have been faster (to really freeze) or slower (to add a bit of motion blur).

Anyway, that's me done...maybe...

Cheers all.

Nice one Andy , love the tie in with your finish shot ( hope you rescued those jeans cos they've got loads of life left in them yet  )

From what I can see the motion seems to have been caught well but a bigger image would help ?

Well done for taking your image & posting so promptly...I'm still

I've changed to a bigger image added. Trust me, as soon as my wife's back was turned I grabbed them and crept upstairs with them..:D

Regarding ideas, as sad as it () as soon as the theme is announced I do this to my desktop, and it seems to stimulate ideas:

Thanks.

Very cleaver to tie in to last theme good idea

Cheer, Andy.

I'm thinking I might do something else later in the week, if any more ideas spring to mind.

Hiya Andy,

Well done on your triptych for week 10 and well executed (both in photo and in dem old jeans ). Bet you went to retrieve them from the bin after the shoot :D

I like the idea for the theme, and the way the jeans have followed through from the previous week.

What would have been interesting (although I suppose quite tricky) is if you could have got some motion blur from the initial throw, for say the far right image, the jeans with motion blur in mid-air in the middle photo and then finally motion blur leading into the bin. Now there is a challenge :p

However, a great pic for this week.

Cheers

Dawn :)

Hi Andy,

You are certainly putting a lot of thought into these shots mate

Gotta say, I'm like you with the odd bit of clothing

It's good to get your daughter tied into the shot for "trio"

I like the idea of the triple shot.

Mick

I'm sure these jeans will make another guest appearance over the coming weeks...:D

I like a challenge. Might not be able to do it in camera, so to speak, but I'll try and add so motion blur is PS.

Thanks for the feedback.

Cheers.

Hi Andy,

Brilliant idea for 'Trio' Work well how you've laid them out as a triptych and I really like that they follow on from 'Finish'!

Especially like the one in the middle with the jeans (or material!) in mid-air - looks cool :)

Will :D.

First of all, I do hope no pairs of jeans were damaged whilst taking this photograph? :D A very good image for trio, nicely done.

Great to see the finish and trio running through... :-)

Cheer, all.

Jeans are well and truely hid from my wife, who would burn them, to be used during a future theme...:D

This week's was quite rushed. No real thought went into it, I just happened across an old gravestone on today's Scarborough TP Meet.

I couldn't help but wonder the knowledge that Richard Riby had when he passed away at the age of 77 year's old on September 3rd in some unknown year.
