haha really liked your take on the open theme, good work!
Great photos! Your 'Open' is fantastic, and I like your bunny wabbit too!![]()
Hiya Andy,
Where is the egg? I only see burnt sausages, bacon and toast (or is the egg underneath the bacon?).
I like your idea behind the theme, but must confess it doesn't look very appetising to me (sorry). Perhaps it is because I am quite fussy about how my sausages and bacon are cooked.
There are a lot of dark items in the subject, i.e., dark counter top, plate, sausages & bacon, brown of the toast, bit of window (above frame). Then you have the white frame which draws my attention more than the subject itself.
I think this could be a great shot if you had firstly used a different colour plate, positioned in a more appealing setting, perhaps on a table (or alternatively positioned some white paper/card behind the plate to block the window and perhaps shoot from a slightly raised angle. Also would be nice to see some of the egg which would add a splash of bright colour to the image.
Sorry if this all sounds negative crit, but rather hope it helps.
Now I'm off to make some breakfast as the thought of food is making me hungry.
Cheers.

Thanks, Dawn and a bigfor all your contributions to this year's 52!
I'm just working through the cluttered posts, I'm annoyed I can't keep up with all the posters but there's sssooo many that I have to, usually, only post on those that really grab me.
Cheers.
Hiya Andy,
Had an idea just spring to mind .... i.e., wouldn't it be great if we could organise a TP 2011 52 meet towards the end of the project..... that would be fab! Get to meet the folk that we have got to know over the year.

Hiya Andy, a cracking image, well done, as you say that detracting line is awkward, but it doesnt take anything away from the image. Some great thought gone into this one. Good luck for this week.
Now that's a great idea. If anyone decides to do thisI'll assist.
Hi Andy, I love love love your Open image, what a fantastic idea. The Clutter one is great too, what a difference compared to your earlier weeks, I guess slowing down is working for you. Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with.

Andy,
Thanks for taking the time to review my 52
#1 Good idea & a solid start.
#2 Like others have said a bit OTT on the PP, 2nd attempt is much better
#3 Agree with Dawn, feet scare me. I had my wifes taken off on our honeymoon
#4 Best of the bunch, guess the little hand is miss wobbly tooth
#5 Nice take, but "hard to resist" a tad overdone for my taste
#6 Great idea & well shot, I'm also trying to think outside the box a bit now (hopefully)
Mick
oh andy, that's a really good shot
like the blur in the background
Really like your week 6. Great take on the theme and an imaginative shot which really grabs attention.
Your 52 gets better every week (so no pressure for week 7 then)
Cheers, Patrick
I kinda like this pic. Especially with your hilarious explanation about the situation you shot it in!
Like the DOF and the detail in the stone, but the main subject looks a bit OOF. I'd be tempted to crop a bit off the bottom.
Still like though.
Hiya Andy,
Well done for capturing this delicate looking plant (I don't have any clue what it is but it looks interesting).
It sounds like you had quite a challenge taking this shot, so well done for persevering.
As already mentioned about the OOF subject, I do however think that the stray root below adds to the character of the image, in the sense that it looks like the plant has got itself wrapped around the rock and indeed hanging on for dear life.
Nice DOF and composition.
Well done
Cheers

I really like this, and hands up to you for being stubborn enough to try. Parents are often pro's at at least trying to multi-task, and that's obviously exactly what you had to do to get this!
I think the fact that the main subject is OOF, but the root isn't, makes this image rather interesting. You could say that the root IS the main subject. If it wasn't for the root, the plant wouldn't be there...!Well done!

I like it too, and judging by your description, it sounds like something that would happen to me, lol!
Andy, i like the way the shot leads you along the wall and down the root. Really interesting image, think the OOF and DOF field work really well for this shot.
regards

Hiya Andy,
I like this, as it is the style of image I enjoy looking at and creating, so for me it works well.
Well done on doing a collage too, they can be quite complex to set out and get the right pics where you want them to appear.
I think you have done well, although I think some of the images are a tad too dark and would have brought more interest to the image if they were a bit brighter. I would have perhaps arranged the segmants slightly differently, perhaps separating the wall and beam images and scattering them in different parts of the collage.
I like the frame you have used, it almost looks like you have torn the image out of a magazine you found in the loft
BTW how did you process this collage?
Overall an intersting image.
Cheers

moment and I'm quite happy with it, but it was a bit rushed.
