photoshop elements 9

Not exactly a to z but the PhotoShop elements 9 book by Scot kelby and mat kloskowski is all you need I rate it and a lot of other people

I've got Scott Kelby's Elements book but am finding that I'm learning more by going through his portrait retouching book.

Get a subscription to "Digital Photo" magazine , they have very good videos included on a CD that cover Elements and PS. I've found them very useful.

i feel better now i know i am not alone,:bang:

i reckon once we find out how to use it we will be saying its easy

Be nice if some of the gurus on this site could start a thread off with exercises and solutions to teach all us noobs about elements. A lot to ask though.

Have a look at the forum in my signature. It's only very small, but the guy who runs it knows just about all there is to know about CS5 and PSE9. He puts tutorials up and will even write one for you if you ask him niceley.

Try Photoshop Elements 9 for Dummies- good book for the novice

I think Amazon still sell this book

I have the same only for CS 5

I have PSE 8 and was struggling. Got the Scott Kelby book and, although great, I still felt I needed a guiding hand. Have just finished a night class (13 weeks) in PSE 8 and feel confident to have a go but am still learning.

Look out for classes in your area.

i have read reviews on amazon, and it seems you need some basic knowledge of photoshop E9 to understand books, i will check out PE9 for dummies later,
dont really want to spend £17 on book and it is no good,

Try your library for earlier editions of the book (if not the current version) and if it seems helpful, it might be worth purchasing.

Some useful stuff here
