Don't come in this section very often, so sorry if it has been done before...

I was thinking of creating a 'bucket list' of things I'd like to take photos of before I croak it...

For those that don't know what I am talking about here is an explanation.

I've got a few things on the list and recently was lucky enough to cross off a major one, but would welcome any other ideas or to see your lists. Here's the start of mine....

1. Pap a famous person
2. Las Vegas sign
3. New York skyline - done sept 2010
4. Eiffel tower at night
5. Sydney opera house
6. Niagra Falls

Ooh, plus to photograph the winning goal norwich city football club score to seal the premiership title ;)

a twister would be cool

:D

Hmm..

One word really.. Leica..

Get the family portraits done and up.

Get a decent (recent) photo of Bill (my dog who can sniff a cocked shutter from a mile away)

Shoot some portraits in the style of the old Hollywood photographers from the 1930's-50's.

Get my damn exposure right (Almost there, I think -2/3rds stop for B&W is gonna work)

Did I mention Leica??

Get a photo published on 1X.com

Get a photo published

Get people on here to realise I love old film noir posters etc, and that underexposing isn't always wrong.

Have enough confidence in my abilities to shoot a model.

Last weeks £113m winning Euromillions lottery ticket in my hand along with the cheque made out in my name!

Mine is going to be mainly sports...

1. Head on at the finish of the mens 100m final at an Olympics

2. Football World Cup winners lifting a trophy

3. Shooting West Ham lift the Premier League trophy

4. Shooting a World Series

5. Shoot an NFL game

i would say you have a good chance of 4/5 of those, not saying which one wont happen :p

You could shoot 2,3,4 and possibly 1 all in Vegas. Would you like to see my Vegas sign?

1. Have a photo displayed in the National Portrait Gallery.
2. Do a Vogue or Vanity Fair shoot.
3. Do a proper portrait of my farther.

Camelot presenting my wife with a large cardboard cheque !!!

I saw a photo recently of a midnight rainbow !!

Taken near a waterfall produced by the light from the moon - awesome photo.

Serious amounts of preparation, luck for the right conditons and the need to be up in the middle of the night of course.

That or the Northern Lights.

International ad campaigns and annual reports for multiple fortune 500 companies.

Boston.com's The big picture. That one might get done this Jan.

and I don't think there's a photographer alive who wouldn't like to have THE yellow border round one of their photos.... :D

that's all I can think of right now... :D Once I win the lottery I can start doing these.

I'm resurrecting an old thread because I've been thinking about my own photography bucket list lately. I had a feeling it might have been discussed before and sure enough my search brought up this thread

1. a 1st XI Charlton match
2. Northern Lights
3. England Rugby XV
4. Tour de France
5. Various Natural wonders (and some manmade) of the world but from the air
6. Cirque de Soleil

I could probably think of loads more but these are the main ones I've been really thinking about

What are yours?

5. Sydney opera house
Funnily enough, I was just going through some old photos that I took when I was down under in 1999 and I've got loads of the Opera House. Had to keep going back and trying again because I couldn't get the exposure right. Suppose that's a case for shooting digital right there

1) Angkor W.A.T, Cambodia
2) Ha Long Bay, Vietnam
3) Son Doong Cave, Vietnam
4) Guilin, China
5) Machu Picchu, Peru
6) Yosemite National Park, USA
7) Himalayas, Nepal
8) Rajastan, India
9) Patagonia, Chile

Hoping to do 1,2,3 and maybe 4 next summer :D

A pano shot from the top of Mt.Everest. :D

I thought this said a PIANO shot from the top of Mt Everest - that would make my bucket list :)

Too late now but a Saturn V launch would have been my dream photograph

A twister
A kingfisher with a fish in its beak
A Tiger in the wild
A whale breaching
Antarctica
Lingerie shoot with Kylie
and...
Scotland's winning goal in a World Cup Final

1. Shoot a roll on a Leica (done)
2. Self develop a roll of film (done)
3. Do a darkroom print (working on it...)

Things get more ambitious here on in:
4. Get published in a local paper
5. Get published in a national
6. Get published in Nat Geo/TIME
7. Get a cover in Nat Geo/TIME
8. Become a Magnum Photographer
9. Publish several photobooks
10. Win a Pulitzer Prize/World Press Photo award

Reads like a list of Xbox LIVE/PSN achievements/trophies.

:D Haha.

Although honestly, I think the number one thing (in terms of importance) would be to create a body of work that I can be truly proud of.
