Can I just add, please try to visit as many of the 52's as you can people and leave CC.
Everyone likes a pat on the back at times but it helps you improve and gives people the encouragement to try harder or see things from another perspective.
By giving others CC we will also learn what your eye finds pleasing or not, as well as give us other ideas to try. I've already seen several photos that i going to try to recreating in my own way
Good luck to all that are doing the 52, only 10 finished last year. What say we try and make this a record year for numbers finishing

Roly, well said.
As an experienced Photo52'er myself, I know how tough it can be, not just to meet each weeks brief, but also the time it takes to view and comment on fellow team members posts.
I say 'team members', because that is ultimately what you are, even though it is a personal project .... you will hopefully all contribute to each others learning experience and photography development.
Granted it is a time consuming challenge, and YES! without the continued support, encouragement, comments, critique, feedback etc the whole purpose of this project will sadly fail and you gain nothing from the effort you put into producing your photos each week.
Indeed .... there were only a few of us complete last year (10 out of 179

), but let me tell you that the spirit was amazing and some lifelong friendships forged from same. I met some very interesting and precious people along the way and look forward to meeting up with them again next week at our 'end of year meet'. Plus, I bet those who got so far and then stopped are kicking themselves for not finishing ..... what is the old saying 'close but no cigar' .... DON'T LET THAT BE YOU!
Can I stress that, if possible, arrange a meet mid term and end of year. It gives all something to look forward to, even if only a few can attend. We had a most amazing mid term meet last year in the Peak District and covered everything from landscape, architecture, portrait, light painting, star trails, sunrise (which I was the only one to capture because the others were all in dream land

), light trails, fungi foraging, macro, nature .... oh the list goes on! It was BRILLIANT and now we are meeting up next weekend for our end of Photo52 meet in Cumbria (with a few who were not on the 52, but that is what we are like ...... we are not a clique, we are TP members having fun and learning and enjoying our passion for photography at the same time).
The Admin/Mods kindly christened me with a title of 'Also loves to mass debate' .... and yes I agree, especially when I try to drum home the fact that you must not give up ..... persevere! .... in the end you will reap the rewards.
I trust you will all stick by each other and help each other to the end. I know that I will do my best to pop by on each of you and offer c&c and encouragement. Just don't give up!
Can I just say here, that if at any time throughout the project you feel down, disheartened, demotivate, lost your mojo, lack of inspiration (believe me there will be themes that arise where you think WTF)...... feel free to send me a PM and I will try to help you overcome those barriers. There were a few of us who did same last year .... and it does help.
I am currently not partaking in this years Photo52, mainly because I have identified areas of photography that I need to develop further, so will be focusing on those. However I am still here to support you all, and who knows I may suffer 52 withdrawals and delve in later with a catch up.
Good luck to you all and I hope to see you all at the end of the year
