Photo52 2011 - Join In !!! - Week 52 and special bonus out now -

I've seen some people posting bulbs that are on, but as a lone bulb not connected to anything. I'll have a nose at how to do that, although I think I'll run with my bland photos that I've been posting this year and have a photo of the filament or something!

Thanks, that helps :thumbs: Fortunately the morning was dry in Appleby so managed to get out for a walk and get some photos. Got back to the van just as it started to rain .... then had to drive home in the rain .... and it just kept on raining. I'm not sure we are going to see a summer this year :'(

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for posting the new theme.

I saw the theme last night, but have been so tired lately so hit the pit at 7:30 (which is the earliest I think I have ever gone to bed :lol:) .... now after 12 hours sleep I have loads of ideas for the new theme ... amazing what a lot of sleep can do :D

Now to decide which I am going to photograph ..... this could be a challenge but great fun.

I'll apologise now for being very very very late posting up comments on everyone's threads but got 12hr shifts this week plus 2thou + shots to sort from the racing this weekend & my entry for POTY to sort:eek:

Oh no! that is terrible news ... I hope it isn't anything too serious and that it can be repaired (and not cost too much to fix).

Like you say as least you have your compact to still keep up with the photography and project.

Well, camera appears to be behaving, its got a dodgy shutter button, the rocker switch I believe. So that will stay with me. Don't know what to do with my 200mm though, I think I will stick to manual focus for a while.

Now for this weeks theme, I STILL have no idea what to do........:bang::bang::gag: but then I may delve into my archives. I really wanted to do a nice new photo for this one.
 
It's the back 9 after today, the countdown to Christmas!

It seams like only yesterday that I was sticking lights inside my children's doll house for my 'Accommodation' shot and now, 26 weeks later, I'm asking strangers to lay on the floor of an old quarry for my photos!

The 52 has certainly made me think more and differently about my photography, and I've met (albeit in forum world) some good people, and strange ones (yes that's you Kev :)), on the way.

As we hit the half way mark today, I just want to wish everyone who's made it this far good luck for the second half of the 52.

Fingers crossed this weeks a goodun!

Thanks Neil, that is very kind of you to wish all good luck, and same to you too. Indeed, looking back to the start we have all done well so far and agree that some of the things we have had to do to improve our photography is amazing and funny.

It has been a fantastic journey so far and I agree about meeting fantastic people along the way, although some strange :cuckoo: (me included ... not sure if it is the effects of the photo52 or if that is just the way I've always been :thinking:). Indeed Kev is a 'character', but he is such a hun and has been a great support and I thank him for that (after all what would this 52 be without him ... I dread to think :lol:). I'd also like to say a big thanks to Lynne (Blondie606) for being such a great friend and support too, who has helped me through a very difficult week.

I'd like to also take this opportunity to say a BIG thank you to all of you for your valued support and encouragement .... I don't think I would have reached this stage if it wasn't for all of you.

Good luck to you all for the 2nd half and I look forward to seeing you all right through to the end.

P-52s.....in da luuvvv shack baby!!... maybe i wonder if i could make a suggestion for the challenges now on... try and flame me if you want..i wear asbestos underwear.. :naughty:

...now i will put this to our Lady of the bag Sarah so that its official but thought i'd run it past the odd bod that strays into this thread...





How about.... a second bag? ... one with only a few key words.. key words that will focus our minds even greater into the weeks challenge...

Key words such as Person / Persons (there is a difference) , Wedding , Box , Transport , wildlife , sport ... sort of key words for the other forum areas on here... its just an idea to force us to look further than our own front door... i know it will me..

I will trying it out this week... maybe eve just having one of those six sided spinny things with the words written on it..??
