...do *** meet up then.. i thought the whole TP thing was an underground movement of like minded *** that only came out at night .. or day .. or evening.. hmmm.. ok.. well..personally i'm easy...as long as its not too far.. :thumbs:

Indeed, whilst we all seem to be at 'home', good time to bring this up. :clap:

I defo think we need to peruse this .... I've even been considering joining a Leeds/Yorkshire meet in the interim (that is a sin considering I'm from the other coloured rose :lol:) But then I'm the kinda person who puts differences asside :D

So what are we going to do about this meet?

It would have been great if we could all meet up in one central place, i.e., the dead centre of the UK (but that is obviously not going to be possible). Idea .... if we can co-ordinate all the meets for the same day we might be able to have some sort of video link up.

We need to think of it ...... maybe a rep from each of the areas to organise the meet?????

Okey dokey...a meet up .

I'm based in a currently (well not right this minute cos it's nightime :D) sunny Rotherham & happy to travel to most places (within reason) .
Only do-able day for me is a sunday cos of work but with enough notice could probably book a day of in the week .

What sort of stuff would people like to photograph ?

I've been toying with the idea of visiting Harewood house this year ...somewhere near Leeds I think . Covers birds , flowers buildings etc
I've also booked 2 days off work to spend at Longleat ( my idea of heaven ) with a cheapo overnight at the local Travel lodge but guess that may be too much of a journey for some ?

How about posting a thread in the main 52 section to get the word out to the rest of the peeps ?

i think you'd take a lot of convincing...so ill go and sell snow to the eskimo if its ok with you...

well its past midnight..i think i;ll take wildcard and go for 7 out of 7 this week...if i can ignore dawn's jimbs... :suspect:

:lol: Babes, you speak my speak and you snookered me on the video link, will have to sort that now :bang:

Need to check google maps to see where you are .... but if you think you can get to Leeds area that would be good. I'm about an hours drive from there.

I take it we are going to consider a meet of the 'serious 52'ers' from the list. Bear in mind there are some who are not following the themed 52, yet very active in the 'projects' section .... MD comes to mind .... he is ace and has been producing some fame stuff. Then there are those from the 365 ...... (of which I am doing one but not here on TP), but there are folk like Matt and others who are making such an effort (in their personal projects ..... which actually aren't many if you look at the threads) ...... do we extend the meet across the board? I think we should ...... after all we are all doing a fab job and need to encourage each other.

Lynne .... I think between us, we need to sort something out soon. A mid-term break/meet would be good to get us A into Z ..... we need to make this a successful year ;)

What do others think?

I'd figured to put a thread in the Personal Challenges section so that all could see & join in , 52'ers , 365 ers & non themed challenges & any that I have'nt mentioned ,the more the merrier :thumbs:

Knew I shouldn't have mentioned Leeds... I get lost very time I go there even with the satnav:lol: Only about 45 mins for me , give or take an hour for getting lost !

I'll post a thread now & PM Sarahlee to see if she can stickyfi it .Lets guage the interest go from there .Oh yes ...and pray for good weather :thumbs:

I've posted a thread in the main Personal challenge section rather than the Meets thread as figured more of the challenge peeps would read it . Pm'd Sarahlee about stickyifying it & warned her that mayhem is breaking out in here :lol:

Getting quite excited about a meet , a whole day spent talking about photography , taking photos & having a giggle with like minded peeps....bring it on :thumbs:

OMG Kev might not be the best for this task then (all big talk and no action) .....
I wonder if Andy (Mr Costa) can sort something for us?

Otherwise it might be down to the ladies again (as per usual) to sort something out.
 
Giving up on the early start now.

Can I suggest that Stirling would be a perfect place for a meeting. It's got a safari park not far, it's got a castle and even some dragons.

Apparently BT are doing some sort of line testing / upgrade thingy on our broadband / lines at the moment . . . internet has been up and down all week.
(Can't you tell that I understand all the technical terms and understand exactly what's going on?)

If it's still playing up next week, I'll take the opportunity to post up a day early from work on the Friday :(
 
Sarah, don't worry about it. We would all be acting the same way regardless of when you post the next theme. And now that you have mentioned Friday you can expect us all to be hanging around this thread next Friday afternoon :D:D
