Daily Phil's 2013 365 challenge 1/1/2013 All Done!!!!!!!!

Some great photos of your snow tipped mountains...

Super set of the two birds in 95...

How do you know the starling is nt female? ;)

Thanks. No idea about the starling to be honest!

Like the way he's looking sideways as well. Almost like a naughty child that won't look at the camera :)

He does look a bit like that now you mention it!

I really like that he's behind it, Phil. I'm not sure why.. the bottom adds an extra... something to it!

Thanks Toni!

Day 97. Energy and motivation was very low today after a night out last night, tried a close up of Izzy's eye. Hard to get her to sit still as a poked a lens a few cm's from her eye. You can see me and Jess in the reflections

Love the snow scenes - but I bet you'll be glad to see the back of it ;)

You did realy well to get those buzzards - I saw red kite at the weekend, but by the time I got the camera sorted they were mere pinpricks in the sensor

thanks Sarah. Was just lucky with those Buzzards

day 97 is a awesome shot Phil !

Cheers Vince

Great eye shot Phil! The bird shot doesn't really work for me, bit too far off!

I know what you mean about the starling Jake, all i had time for that day.

Oh cuteness - I have a sodt spot for ducks - especially when they are waddling around :)

Those ducks are cute but my fav has to be the eye!

Thanks Sarah. They are surprisingly tame and come out to see me in the mornings as I smmethods feed them.

Lucky you, I don't think I'd move from watching them in the garden if they were in mine :)

They kind of come and go Sarah, we have a small lake on the farm and they fly back and forwards to it.

I wish my fillers were that good! And interesting! Nice shot Phil!

Cheers Jake.

Thanks T. Would like to try the eye shot again but closer. I'm keeping my eye out for a second hand 105 or 150 mm macro lens at the minute.

Day 101. Work and the weather really got in the way today, it rained here all day and I had to work away it it so this is another filler. Stuck the 500mm out the patio doors and got my happy duck in the pond enjoying the rain.

Really enjoyed catching up with this thread. I love your bird shots. Totally understand the feeling of panic when faced with a kite. I spied one soaring over my back garden yesterday. It took me a moment to make my mind up whether to stay and watch or run for my camera. Decided to make a dash for it and sure enough, when I returned the kite was nowhere to be seen. I think I ended up shooting a Robin for my PotD. Next time!

Love the composition in your starling shot though!

I really like that waterfall shot. Not sue what you are complaining about, the mood is perfect!

Really like the light from that fire too!

Awww Jemima again - bless her ♥

I did laugh at you knowing her name!

She looks quite happy out there!

Yes Jake, good weather for ducks:)

Thanks Sarah. That is usually my problem too, i have taken recently to having my camera rucksack in the van with me all the time, usually with the sigma 150-500 attached as it is the one i would need to grab urgently. Also have a 10-20 and 17-70 with be but these are never as urgent.

My that starling is managing to look quite cute there - that's not normal

Wish my lens went up to 500mm it's just 300mm and it's just not enough sometimes :(

Day 104. Spent the day in the mountains in Co Fermanagh with a local walking club. It poured down for most of the day and the camera mostly stayed in my bag.
