Phil the Juggler's 2026_52 - Week 13 - The Night Sky

Very nice, my roses haven't started budding yet!

Aye that's a belter :)

That's a classy image, a really nice setup.

Is the spray just water?

Yes - absolutely - I used the spray head from a surface cleaner bottle but rinsed it first!

Week 12: Daily Life
R6 II, 50mm f/1.2 @ f/1.2, 1/200, ISO 3200

I took the theme to be anything routine - so a bar lady pulling a pint tonight seemed to fit the bill!

I tried to pop the subject out of a potentially distracting scene using a thin depth of field. I didn't want to use flash so ISO was a little high at 3200, but the R6II isn't bad at that ISO & Nik Efex Dfine helped to improve the shot in post.

Lovely shot, love the colours and using thin depth of field really works. (y)
Only small crit would be the position of her right thumb on the pump though realise its not a model shoot and she is working

Lovely shot Phil :)

Skip the cider and gimme a nice juicy NEIPA DIPA at about 8%

Week 13 - The Night Sky

Awaiting Artemis II - shot shortly before take off!

This was a tricky one - I first took a shot of the moon on my R7 with 100-500 + 1.4x Extender - 700mm - f/10, 1/320s @ ISO 800 to get detail in the moon

I then photographed the sky including the moon on an R5II, 85mm f/1.2 @ f/1.2, 1/10s @ ISO 800 - this second exposure was for the clouds, but the moon was blown - just a disc of white. I resized the moon from the first shot to precisely the correct size and blended it into the correct position in the clouds in the second shot.
