I like your divided first post as is....I would nt change anything....
Hiya Patrick,
Wow .... I can take the DG's off now![]()
Now .... this is stunning ....it!
The detail you have caught in the leaves is beautiful, not to mention the blue sky and the shimmer of sunshine.
It feels like am lying under the tree gazing up at the sky and leaves.
The image has a very romantic feel to it
You see, your OH is always right.... and glad you have listened your fellower 52'er too
Well done
Cheers

. That makes two of us...Really like number 2, like the dreamy and romantic feel to it.![]()
i must be odd then i prefer divided mk1
I prefer no 1 too... Still think b and w would suit better though than colour... The dreamy feel to the second one is a bit naff... It's like one of these god awful posters you get with some phrase your meant to ponder over... Some may like but not my cup of tea.
Patrick..i almost mistook your tropical for divided ... my bad... all three themes have been captured wonderfully... love the delicate flowers surviving in the hrsh landscape..![]()
Some divided opinions about your divided Patrick.
#1 hits the divided theme with that clear divide in the trunk, but #2 has the better detail and I think is the better shot, so I guess I'm divided! Nice idea though.
Hi Patrick,
I must also join your minority of odd. I preferred you first divided shot too. I like that level of saturation in certain circumstances and it works here.
I like this Patrick. You have already commented yourself on the blown sky so no need to go there. Thats the only issue for me. I actually like the composition, and as you say, the backlight on the seed head adds something - Good use of dof without the background being too oof. Nice work for Promise
Hiya Patrick,
A lovely photo for Promise. Agree with the points you have already identified, however I do like the way you have the focus on the poppy bud and the colours are gorgeous.
Well done
Cheers

Thanks Neil. I will secretly admit the backlighting was an accidentThe back lighting is good and aids the detail.
I agree with all that has been said.
Where are the poppies? Anywhere near you? Take in better sky conditions? I like the composition but the blown sky really kills it for me![]()
Hi mate. Great shot for promise... I dont mind the blown sky... I actually think it adds a bit of hope and future to the image... almost leading to the progression of the promise!
Great work
Mark
I'd agree about the blown sky. It seems to assist the poppies, they merge and I like it.
Think I'd like to see the purple flowers out of there (cloned, of course...).
For me, it's the hairs on the main poppy that makes it.
Cheers.

OmG it is Kev .......
Always full of surprises
Patrick, I too prefer the colour version, it has loads of detail and is a nice sharp photo. Definitely on theme for twisted. Well done!
Cheers

????????? sorry where DO i come into this.. i have tried to keep my head down.. submit my entries for the weeks theme... get the heebie jeebies from my last attempt.... and now i...WELL???..... am i the screw..or the bug???.....
Ms Drodd... pls... explain yourself before the committee..!!!![]()
(obviously not funny
)
Hiya
Apologies, it was a moment of madness, after seeing Kev's photos for hidden and reading the drama about his tripod in the garden, I thought this was fitting ... i.e., Kev had lost a screw which really bugged him(obviously not funny
)
Anyway I better go and comment on said photos now
Cheers

Now Dawn , I'd like you to quietly sit down and take a few deep breaths. You are obviously suffering with Mid-52 Fever and yours is a particularly bad casePeople with this condition get a wild staring look in their eyes, irrational giggles and start talking compete nonsense which only makes sense to them. The only cure is long and difficult and involves taking 30 more photos and posting them one week at a time until a sense of relief and calmness return. (actually I'm feeling a bit strange myself... oh, it's ok that's normal for me...
)

OMG I dread to think what I will be like at the end of the 52 .... and what is going to happen to my mind beyond then. I wonder if TP offer post-52 counselling?![]()
I'm already eagerly waiting for week 23
Cheers

Thanks, my beloved also says she likes the colour oneNow that has brought a smile and a laugh to me.![]()
Patraick, really liking the colour version, great detail and I really like the shadow.![]()
Definitely serendipity. What a great word. I think I'll say it again - "seredipity"Not often I use the word serendipity but fits well here.
Colour for me as well, I like the I like the colours in the what appears to be wet wood.
Reall well caught and it's the shadows that make it for me.
Cheers.
Hi Ms Dawn, I'm sure counselling can be arranged for a very reasonable fee. Please come into my consulting room and just leave your chequebook on the desk...Thanks for the advice Dr Patrick .... not sure there is any cure for me though, I am beyond repair :nuts:

... mid-52 ... Patrick i like that diagnosis for Ms Drodd there...
Also I think I'm going to call myself Patraick from now on - it sounds more mysterious and classy than plain Patrick
