Feel free to name and shame me if you think i'm one you suspect. I'm more than happy to prove the ownership of my postings and work. :)

^^ me too!

I'll repost:

You cant post examples surely.

What if it IS someones work, and you have accused them of using someone elses work? I know I would hate to see my name in here :(

That's exactly the point surely? comments which amount to accusations of plagiarism need to be substantiated. The OP should put up or shut up imo.

What a very strange post!

Seems deliberately provocative doesn't it? ;)

Well all my shots are all my own work but will admit to being inspired by people and attempting to emulate from time to time. Never posted someone else's work as my own though. Equally wouldn't like someone to post my work as theirs either.

Well we'll let it run a while in the hope that Ivor might pop back and explain his comments. We are keeping an eye on it though.

it's worth keeping to see if we get anymore smilies like mattyh's

or perhaps we can hijack this thread and turn it into a what you want to do to people when you hear them say lol thread. On a similiar vain I had to give someone a letter back at work the other week as they had written it in text speak I couldn't understand it.

Failing that I'm the guilty man I am new to macro would never even have considered macro if it wasn't for the stunning and inspiring images I have seen here. I then tried to produce some images of simiiar quality but failed big style.

Alternatively it coud just been that if you get enough photographers in the same place showing off their pics you are going to see some similiar pictures. Just like any other hobby I'm a diver, if you go to a diving forum you will find lots of people al saying the same thing.

lol, lol, lol, lol, lol, lol!

I caught myself saying 'tbh' the other day. Needless to say I slammed my genitals in the car door as a warning to myself.

Far too much time spent on forae methinks.

Anyway........

Who cares if somebody is posting stuff that is not theirs. The only person who loses out is the plagiarist. Ok, so they may gain a bit of kudos on here if the images are fantastic but that doesn't mean much in the real world and if they ever get offered any work off the back of their petty thievery they're going to be exposed as the fraud they are pdq!

The only stuff I've seen posted here that was blatantly somebody else's was a shot in the cloud app thread. BUT, the poster fully stated that it wasn't their shot! so fair play in my book!

I say lol in real life. And rofl. Using internet acronyms with a well developed sense of irony is cool, get used to it :p

And that picture of Kitchener is rubbish, it's too flat. This one of mine is far better:

something makes me think you guys have too much time on your hands to surf the web for random emotioncons.

Could someone add a pic of a clapping seal for the one by 68lbs?

I am thinking of cutting my toenails tonight. But it really is just at the thinking stage. Will update as news comes in...

I certainly have'nt seen it on this forum, but roughly about a year ago some guy on AV Forums tried to pass a picture off as his own, the results where quite amusing as he got well and truly slated by the other members as he tried to justify what he had done, as another poster has mentioned there is only one person your fooling by doing something like this thats yourself, however i have tried to emulate other photos i've seen taken by others in various settings on the camera just to see how close i can get, no harm done i guess and all adds to experience, i personally would like to see this thread run to see if the person who started it could explain himself, that is of course if he has the balls to point the finger :bat:

But if you only post a pic of the clippings how will we know they are genuinely yours?;)

'I'm only staying here to see what happens next'

To be honest, I started this topic just to see what would happen, however there was a perfectly genuine feeling that certain images being shown, are in fact copies.

A resonable debate on this is possible surely, and I would have thought it was in everybody's interest. You may well disagree with my viewpoint, but if only one person stops to think it through, it has not been a total waste of time.

Cheers
