Sorry nothing there. It only fits the Mic socket?I found a manual online ....
Apparently it does have a socket ..
It is above the memory card door (just like my Olympus bodies) a small flap conceals/reveals the socket. The mic socket is on the opposite side with the other external connections sockets.
HTH
PS I have never had to "setup" a camera to use a wired remote release.....a Panny should be no different.
Odd as the manual clearly mentioned it and shows the location. The mic socket is only for a microphone not the remote release!Sorry nothing there. It only fits the Mic socket?
A little strange as when you type the make and model it comes up with the remote I have ordered?Odd as the manual clearly mentioned it and shows the location. The mic socket is only for a microphone not the remote release!
PS just looked again and though the link says FZ200 it is the FZ2000 manual displayed
Perhaps the FZ200 does not have a remote socket???
I have? You should use the Mic scoket as that is where it goes. make sure it is fully inserted.
You've definitely picked the wrong manual. The one from Panasonic's web site clearly shows the mic/remote socket on the left of the camera.Odd as the manual clearly mentioned it and shows the location. The mic socket is only for a microphone not the remote release!

Thanks it only has two but is the recommended remote for this cameraMany people try to use a remote that work with Olympus, but are unsuitable for Panasonic cameras.
Check yours has three rings on the plug end that goes into the camera.
Sorry, but I don't think that will work, they are supposed to be wired tip. ring. ring, sleeve. Thanks it only has two but is the recommended remote for this camera
Strange https://www.amazon.co.uk/Shutter-Re...07XYS5LFK/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8Sorry, but I don't think that will work, they are supposed to be wired tip. ring. ring, sleeve.
The more usual Canon, Pentax, Olympus configuration is tip, ring and sleeve.
If you look at the official Panasonic remote you will see the plug does have the three rings.

I also have a third party wired remote and a genuine Panasonic model too, all with the three rings.
But that one does show it as having the three rings.
The picture shows the 3 rings but are you saying the one delivered has 2 or 3.... .if 2 then it seems they sent the wrong version???
Thank you so much for the help. I will return this one and order the correct versionBut that one does show it as having the three rings.
Afraid proof is in the pudding, your two ringed version doesn't work.
Best bet is return it and try to get the correct type
Alls well that ends well, we have all done daft things, just glad its working.Thank you so much for the help. I will return this one and order the correct version
How stupid can you get I had the wrong end plugged into my camera it is the correct remote and now working perfectly.![]()
Don't beat yourself up.......we all forget & make 'kick yourself ' silly(?) errorsThank you so much for the help. I will return this one and order the correct version
