Both good shots.. however, the second tells more of a story (no pun intended..., honest!)
 
Two very full shots, like the second picture with the out of focus areas
 
Two good, interesting images and the second is the pick for me, it is more 'documentary'

Really nice. Love the oof foreground column, the repeating rivets and handrail ticks the pattern box .
Lovely colour and the red columns in the BG are cool too.

I really like this shot. The colours, leading lines and the dof are definitely rather pleasing to the eye.

Good contrast between the grey and red columns and the red rail leading into the red columns.
 
Great shot as always Dave. I like the vertical perspective that fits the subject so well
 
Catching up: Two great images Dave, your use of colour makes them really dynamic. Love the leading lines of the red moldings in the patterns shot leading the viewer to the red columns.
 
Lovely use of colour Dave and nicely cropped to feature those repeating verticals.
 
Works well for me and the use of DoF really accentuates the difference in light and colour moving away from the viewer. Nicely done

Week 12 : Tunnel and Tech

46100 'Royal Scot' exits Blea Moor tunnel at Dent Head this afternoon.

Cracking shot! Can hardly see the tunnel through all the steam. Nicely processed too.

Hope you got off the tracks well before it reached you. ;)

Impressive. I know most of that is steam but one can get an idea of how the air quality might have been when steam trains were ubiquitous.

Great steam, train shots I can take or leave but that's excellent.
 
Great Shot Dave, Not much of the tunnel is visible, but you know its there.
Good B&W tech as well.

That's a cracker Dave. Nice composition with the hint of the tunnel and a very atmospheric shot.
 
Beautiful image Dave, the smoke/steam makes for so much drama!
 
That‘s smoking. Looking good in B&W, hopefully they closed all the windows before entering the tunnel
