weekly Oy's Weekly Photo Thingiewotsit for 2023 : Week 52 : Fave of the year - Year Complete!

Good processing that fits your subject. And lots of steam!

Great train shot Dave, I like the monochrome processing. It gives it that old-timey feel...

Distant: Lovely telephoto pic with nice colours against the darker background.
Fragile: Nice composition and well spotted (or remembered!) for the theme.
Robust. Great shot and beautiful processing. Love it!

Definitely robust and nicely processed for that vintage look.

Lovely shot.

How do you get to post am image on here that is

1. Not via flickr
2. Not a thumbnail
3. Very sharp (i.e. forum does not soften as it often does with non flickr images)

Thanks - I link them from Smugmug!

What a great shot Dave. Perfectly exposed and sharp.

Lovely focus and detail, you have taught that camera well.

Wow that's impressive and the detail in the eye is amazing. I'm not a wildlife photographer, but that's really great. What kit do you use?

Thanks Adam. For this I used the Nikon Z9 with Nikon 500mm PF VR.

Put of pure interest, have you edited the eye of the bird, or sharpened it. It's so clear. I assume the Z9 has animal eye focus
Nothing other than the usual basic tweaks. Nothing specifically on the eye. Yes the Z9 animal eye detect is impressive!

Cracking shot showing real behaviour and beautiful colours too. Well done.

Superb shot. The blue eye colour is amazing!

Week 22 : Irregular

Building Stonecastles - most irregular!

Lovely shot - catching that crouch that only children can do - the look of concentration is wonderful to see.

Just so cute, who could not love this shot.
