weekly -OY-'s Weekly challenge thingamibob for 2022. Week 52 : Showcase (52 2022 Complete)

Nice, interesting image, nice to see the escapees doing well

Nice image... Nature will go where it wants to!

Week 14 : Unusual

Yesterday I had the pleasure of 8 Bramblings to photograph. Now that is unusual here! Also unusual to see the males in almost full breeding plumage - they should be wingin their back to Scandinavia for that!

Beautiful image Dave, it's a bird that I'm not familiar with.

Nice image of a bird I've not seen in my garden.

That's a fantastic shot Dave. Not just the crispness of the image and the colours of the brambling, but the cheeky cock of the head too!

Cheers - defo a cheeky chappie :)

Fabulous shot - I have yet to see a brambling though I was told we could hear one last week.

I went out looking for an unusual bird this morning.... and didn't see a dickie bird :)

Thanks :)

Not even Dickie Dunnock? :)

Black Redstarts are VERY uncommon here :)

So I have two mornings to see if I can spot any again, otherwise I might have to resort to something else. My Banana Plant and my husband's guitar are top contenders.
I've seen Black Redstarts twice in the last couple of weeks.

What a fun, happy shot Dave. A keeper for sure!

Looks bang on the eye, Nikon's Eye AF is working well with the latest camera it seems :)
Not sure that my fooj would hit like that...
Nice that you've got him looking at you too :)

Thanks Tim :)
My X-T4 eye af is pretty good. But not in the same league as the Z9.

The X-T3 is certainly a jump over the X-T2, but from what I read, the 4 wasn't that big a jump over the 3 (IBIS being the selling point really).
I'm waiting to see what the X-H2 is like and hoping that the X-T5 will be somewhere closer to the leading edge, as properly reliable Eye AF would be really handy for my type of shooting.

I went from X-Pro2 to X-T4 and it was quite jump. Eye AF for something fairly static like Jazz is pretty good.

A lovely sharp shot. His expression really makes it for me.

A well captured image ... a happy chappy :)
