I've been doing a bit of clearing up of hard drives today and came across this photo from 2023 taken with the OM1. Rolling shutter is a bit annoying isn't it? I obviously didn't think about it but I should have used the mechanical shutter.

Is the OM1-ii an improvement does anyone know? I guess I could look up some YouTube reviews, although I've not been doing enough photography recently to justify an upgrade just yet. This was 1/320s.

Don’t think the OM1 actually suffers from rolling shutter as the frame rates to fast .. might be wrong but I’ve never yet seen it using electronic shutter .

Ooh that's interesting! Do all planes with two props either side do this? Does the C130? Are there other planes with two props either side? ....I could end up down a rabbit hole.

I noticed that all my photos were tagged as A400, so I should have known, however on closer inspection, some of my C130s were tagged as A400s! I must pay more attention :ROFLMAO:

I recently purchased a Z8 and the image quality on that is amazing but I only have the 24-120 F4 currently.

So, just wondered if anyone had been and taken M43rds gear as March / April time when we are going could be a bit crummy weather wise.

I am going in a couple of weeks are you going on Britannia? It's our 40th anniversary treat but the EM1-X and a few lenses are coming with me

I suspect the A400M is the only one. The C130 doesn't do it and I'm pretty sure nothing earlier will. There are very few current four prop aircraft. The interesting one is the Tu-95 which looks like it has counter rotating props on each engine to achieve the same effect as the A400M.

Thanks - it's all so very clever! I had an interesting conversation with my son who pointed me to two aircraft that he knew of with a single prop either side that contra-rotate... the P38 and F-82/P-82. Google tells me the Russians have over 50 TU-95s and they've been flying since 1952!

Just so I don't take it all completely off track, I'll post another plane photo - an F15. Taken with the OM1 and the 150-400. My WB may be a little blue??

:ROFLMAO: but your butterflies require far more skill - mine was definitely spray and pray. I don't think I have ever managed a butterfly in flight.

But my butterflies were so easy using the pro capture feature, less skill than your photo I reckon. :D
