A early morning visit to RSPB Greylake was becoming somewhat of a disappointment after a very early start at 4.00am due to overcast conditions and the reserve being quiet after all the recent fledgin activity just as I was thinking of going home for breakfast At 9.00am exactly we had the flypast from the local Barney love these birds just so graceful Spoke to one of the RSPB wardens the other day its been a difficult year for Barneys locally with a lack of prey in fact in a nearby location I frequent I found two dead adults which may have been due a lack of prey
