Olympus OM-D E-M5, E-M1, E-M10 - Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 Owners Thread

Actually Jeff I am pleased I did. My Canon gear fetched far more than I have spent on Oly gear.
I wish I hadn't bought the Jubu gimbal though!!!

Trevor sure, but I’m far from an expert:

C-AF with tracking. Focus area large. Animal AI tracking engaged. Drive mode SH2 (set at 25fps down from the default 50). C-AF tracking sensitivity 0 (default). IBIS Mode 1 (auto select). Shutter priority, 1/1250” F2.8 ISO 250 (auto ISO). Olympus 40-150 F2.8 Pro Lens

Think that’s it.

Thanks. Very similar to my own settings. I need more practice. I’m not getting a very good hit rate.

Had to take Mrs S into Salisbury yesterday so, after visiting Castle Cameras for a natter, I had a walk around to christen my new E-M5 III & 12-100mm. Here's one from the cathedral. OOC JPEG with just the shadows very slightly lifted.

Great to see you got a clean shot, last time I was there photography was hopeless, the clutter was unbelievable!

Really wish my extra battery for the OM-1 would hurry up...

If my little darling keeps growling at me every time I go near the wife you can have him ..only wants me if I got food or coffee

OK, I joined TP last year as a Canon APS-C SLR user and have been lurking ever since as I made the switch to mirrorless and Olympus. My main focus is on birding with photography as a secondary thing.

That said, we went on a birding trip to Costa Rica earlier this year and I'm going to share some of my shots from there. Most taken with EM-1 Mk3 and 300mm f4. Bear with me if my posts go wrong as I haven't posted any images to TP before...

Welcome! Lovely shots.
That laughing Falcon is a handsome bird - looks like he is about to rob a bank :)

I hope to get to Costa Rica one day.

Purple sandpiper on the sea wall.

I am pretty gobsmacked at the technical quality of this photograph, and my gear is even older than Jeff's...... EM1 mk2 + Leica 100-400 zoom @318mm. Processed in Photolab (in PureRaw mode) and lightroom. 1600 ISO.
