I had to look up what espouse meantUnfortunately like robin while I espouse over my camera and lenses ,unfortunately my reason to own and use them is mainly for wildlife . But seeing a few responses I won’t throw my toys out of the pram and just keep on posting and as it was a nice sunny morning for a change and a high tide I might have a few good ones later

Does anyone use the HighRes function on the Olympus compatible cameras? How do you find it?
Test Hi Res Bolts by Terence Rees, on Flickr[/URL]Pretty good if your subject is completely still, and I mean completely.
If you're using flash with HiRes mode be aware you must use a shutter speed of 1/20th second or slower which is a bit pants.
Otherwise you'll get banding or a black image.
Carry on Robin,

There is always one smart arse in every group Eh?....Already done
Fair point well presented2 thank you![]()
Thanks @GreenNinja67 and @RedRobin
I keep forgetting it's there.
I also remembered the other night about live composite which I'd like to try again for light trails.
Does anyone have any lesser used features they think are great?

Cos we are posting to many birdies LOL.... I had to look up "espouse" too - Just in case Jeff had ideas that I would become his spouse (wifey or husband)! In which case I would suddenly become unavailable to visit him in the remote wilds of Wales!
Jeff, why do you say "Unfortunately my reason...is mainly for wildlife"?

sandy shores by jeff and jan cohen, on FlickrI've just got myself a cheap adapter so I can play with my Canon EF lenses on my Oly. It hadn't occurred to me I wouldn't be able to set the aperture :banghead: yes, stupid, I know. Presumably I'm stuck with the widest aperture of whichever lens I use?
Having used a manual lens (lensbaby) on the Canon R and had focus peaking working, I thought it would work on the Oly but it doesn't.... or am I missing something? Is it because my dumb adapter is extremely dumb?
If set a programmable button to the settings you need including MF assist wen pushed the MF assist should work.I've just got myself a cheap adapter so I can play with my Canon EF lenses on my Oly. I hope there is another seat at that table.......I will edit my post soonMy spiritual home would be the Pedants Corner column in Private Eye........
Yes I have it set to MF assist ON and peaking to ON, red - this is on the Em1ii. Maybe I'll try a different lens. I thought it should work, but wasn't sure.If set a programmable button to the settings you need including MF assist wen pushed the MF assist should work.

This isn't a stitch but I couldn't remember which one I had done.... Very nice indeed. It's an image which for me works well in both colour and mono. I think I slightly prefer the mono because it's more abstract. Usually I prefer colour images of nature and wildlife but that's just a personal preference.
It's good to see what can be done with stitching and hi res - Thanks for posting this.
another one from yesterday never seen so many cormorants in one place

oh no rich yesterday on the beach they numbered in there hundreds they were flying in to inland every couple of minutes for two hoursThis is a snap from my local RSPB reserve, jam packed with Cormorants and Little Egrets
Quite often a dozen or more of the oily Black critters on one of the many islands.
Little Egrets tend to sit in the trees on the lake edge, upwards of twenty around one lake is very common

Oh poor you , I’m about 200 yards from the estuary and look out of the front windows over the Irish SeaThat is a lot Jeff, most I've seen is about fifty flying in from Graffham Water.
Saying that we are about as far from the coast that you can be and I believe they are primarily a sea bird
