Die you get a dispatch email when your free 45mm was on it way?
bl0at3r said:No, it just turned up after 10 days. You can check the website for details of your claim - you would have got info when completing claim.
Thanks Lindsay - is it noticeably heavier/bulkier in use than the 5D Mark II? I had one of those, and it was ok (although a step up in terms of weight from the E-M5 of course!)
Beautiful sunrise Alan!
I'm already thinking that my soon-to-arrive OMD will benefit from a fast zoom. I hear the Panasonic 12-35 is good (and extortionately priced in my opinion) but I would appreciate views on this lens. Being Panasonic, does it function properly on the OMD (hopefully without an adaptor)?
py6km - I shoot for a living and one of my current bodies is a 5D MkIII. It's hard to criticise it, I've shot everything from wildlife to catwalk with it, but it's a complete no-no for personal work due to its weight and bulk. Yes, you will have speed and quality (and the price to contend with, particularly when you add good glass) but you probably won't enjoy the backache and neckache!

Don't get me going on lenses .... since ordering my OMD yesterday I'm thinking of nothing else. I've spotted this tiny lightweight lens (ideal for my street photography I suspect) which appears to get very good reviews and is cheap: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-Lumix-20mm-Pancake-Lens/dp/B002PIIQGU/ref=cm_cr_dp_asin_lnk
But somebody said it can cause banding on Olympus bodies at high ISOs - is that true??
Or this one, for more money: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-H...rchangeable/dp/B0056H5VLK/ref=cm_cr_pr_sims_t

Ajophotog said:No problems here with the 20mm but the 25 f1.4 is a truly stunning lens. A couple of samples of its creaminess. Although these were taken with the G3 it works equally well with the om-d.

The 12-35 works very well on the OM-D, no adapter required.
Here are a few examples..
Andrew it was the Panasonic H-X025E LEICA DG SUMMILUX 25mm which Lindsay was asking about.
Will this be any good? Great price

Ajophotog said:One is a 20mm f1.7 and the other that I put photos up with was a 25mm f1.4
The one you now ask about is a 30mm and I have that too, it seem well made and sharp, I like and use it too. Here is a shot taken with the 30 on the om-d.

The sigma 30 is quick to focus and I think a pretty good lens for the price, I don't have the 19 though.
Bit of macro from the om-d with the Leica 45mm dg elmarit lens.
Stunning shot Alan.
