OM-D for me is better overall than the EP2 I had and IQ wise I'd say quite close to the Fuji X-Pro 1, especially with the 25mm. Certainly isn't hype the low light performance is much improved and for me the handling is much better than the G3 I considered or the EP2 / GF2 style bodies.
Shot wise really depends on if your using EVF/screen etc, average is suggested to be about 300 but you can get cheap 3rd party batteries which are great very cheaply anyway.
EVF for me is excellent and better than the Panasonic ones I've tried but I can only base that on a quick play in a shop with the Panasonic bodies.
EVF seems fine to me in low light but its never going to match an OVF, none of them are. Best feature of the OM-D for me is the handing, closely followed by the IBIS, its amazing to see especially longer lenses being stabilised in the viewfinder like you would with lens stabilisation.
As for colour I like the Silver too but have a Black one, there have been reports of the Silver paint flaking and being quite easy to scratch, something that the black doesn't seem to have.
