Robin Wong shows some examples in his video with both the highlights and shadow ends of the curve adjusted. They actually look really good.

In my opinions, the exposure warnings are invaluable. I always ETTR (and shoot raw), and it makes knowing how far to push things while retaining highlight detail in the parts of the image you want it retained in absolute childs play. Each to their own though.

They do, however he never mentioned setting the histogram warning. Was he using Lightroom in the video to recover the files?

I'm sure he mentioned the warnings earlier in the video. I posted a link to a Peter Forsgard video a few pages back which is what I used to setup my warnings. Note that this requires you to shoot raw.

I don't know what program Robin Wong was using, but it didn't look like Lightroom.

I'd like a new bag to carry my EM1mkII, 100-400 and 12-40mm, plus hopefully the Oly 60mm - any suggestions?

I've also posted a few more pigeon BIF photos here if anyone is interested - a definite improvement on the EM5.

I think Robin was using Olympus Workspace, but not sure. Rob Trek has dealt with setting the warning here, unless I'm getting very confused.

Looks like Capture One to me based on the little blue 1 in the corner. (giving it a trail now myself)

Has anyone got or used the PL 10-25 f1.7....thoughts ?
 
The quality of images in here has been very impressive lately, good work
 
a couple of black headed gull shots ,nothing special but I have been testing out the tracking and sharpness ability of the camera over the last few days . once target is acquired and Locked on ,virtually every shot is sharp . its far better than most other camera lens combos I have owned these are shots from a ten shot burst ,and I have the camera slowed down to 10fps instead of the 18fps its capable of .

Two very nice shots, with some fine colour & detail.

Subjects quite far away and cropped pretty significantly; sharpness is not as impressive as compared to subjects that are closer with similar settings - this seems to be a pretty consistent outcome from one week to the next. Anyone else noticed this with the 40-150 f/2.8?

I think that applies with whatever lens you use on whatever system it’s used on maarten ... atmospherics play a big part .. there is always a optimum distance at which you can get a sharp shot ... I’ll exclude the mega expensive lenses from canon..Nikon..Sony etc as there out of my price range but sub £2000 lenses all have the same problem

First one's great, plenty of detail to say it's at 6400 ISO. I don't get these folk that say you can't use M4/3 over 800 ISO :rolleyes:

I'm still on a quest to even see a Kingfisher. Was at Lathkill Dale last weekend you're supposedly odds on to see a kingfisher, must have been their day off when I went :lol:

I just make sure I have enough shutter speed for a sharp shot and let auto i.s.o do the rest ..
