got caught standing on the patio table in the pouring rain, the dark band at the top is the patio umbrella.
I really wanted to stand out and point the camera up at the sky to see what I could get. But common sense took over, the camera was already getting wet from the splashback, it was that heavy!

Thanks, it's something I keep trying but can't get right yet.
Some people seem to be able to create wonderful grain...
 
The noise filter in photoshop makes a really ugly mess and you can't control the grain size. Well, I can't make it look any good anyway.
 
It was my birthday yesterday, so the shot is a bit lame, sorry.
One of my chocolate cakes, so now I have a beer shelf and a cake shelf :D

I know exactly what you mean, whole week is like this for me, spend ages on time wasting shots, bit worried too :(

Right two Self portraits from the both of you tomorrow!!! I'll do one as well. Probably be on top/inside/near the van and a landscape.

It's just that I had the mac for my birthday (yes I'm a very lucky boy :D) and it's only taken 2 days for me to resort to shooting it :lol:

Cheers mate, I really like that shot but wish the top was different, just didn't want to risk the cam by leaving the safety of the patio umbrella.
