:shrug: I think that if you don't feel that way about somebody, then you just don't . . . and no amount of rationalising it will change the way you feel.
IMO that's not something that you can force and it's better to tell him that up front, rather than lead him on because you don't want to hurt his feelings.
Things might be a bit awkward between you for a while if you turn him down, but if he's a true friend that will go away in time.
As soon as anything physical
happens between you, it makes it much more difficult to go back to being just friends if you discover that the spark still isn't there.
