Official Talk Leica thread

Newt just got a backpack and I just got the Voigtlander 50mm 1.2 Nokton

The M9 still has a line problem though.. Ffordes sent me the raw files on the card, I can see it on those images which they could not - so have re-entered dialogue about it.

IIRC they go secondhand for more than they cost new, store here has a secondhand one for €9000 !!!

Yes, the guy in that article mentions this. TBH I wouldn't be attracted to a special addition no matter how much I had to spend as I'm sure that standard edition is just as useable as I'm not going to use it in a war zone :D

Well caught Adam. Have you given any thought to removing the No Entry sign ?

Thank you Trevor... a little bit of thought, maybe via crop not cloning though... even more thought seeing as you mentioned it :D

At the time I thought oh sh*t he looked at me, that'll ruin it - but I actually really like that he's looking at the camera

A nothing shot, until you look closely. Notice the steel hawser around the trunk. Then look higher and see the braces attached to prevent the dual trunk splitting away.

Hi, flaring ... (M9 - ZEISS Planar 2/50 f 2,8).

(The Planar is said to show no flaring or veiling by many... If one tries hard enough, all lenses can be made to flare, to some extent. For normal photography this is not a big problem,
unless you are a sunset- or sunrise- shooter. I looked through my files, and found a few surprises ... )

it flares much less than the 50 cron, but has more distortion and not quite as nice colours (imo) so you pays your money and makes your choice! I miss my cron… but the Zeiss 50/2 isn’t far behind and is so much cheaper on the used market (distortion and colour are easier to fix in lightroom than flare!)

Hi, I just tried the flaring of my 5 M mount 50s under similar conditions. Tomorrow, I shall start posting my findings ...
