Macro extender - Leica






A tad on the expensive side, but does feel nice when using.
Fits all m mounts and seems to work / feel nicer with some more than others.

So, this is with the 135mm leitz, normal shot with focus distance and with the extender on...

Hi, the view from Schamser Berg/CH ... (M9 - ZEISS Distagon 4/18 f 8) :

(The sun was in the top left, outside the frame, flare in the bottom right. This is rare, but it can happen. The Distagon is not offered by ZEISS anymore.

It is a good lens, I think. - I do know how the Leica M 18mm performs. The Distagon is my only 18mm lens ... --- )

Not cropped... but does show bad sensor dust.. I cleaned afterwards... I dont think its the lens.

Have you tried the Dust Detection feature?

I don't normally do photo background stories... but...

Down where the stores are long since closed and the buildings are graffiti coated I walked past this open doorway where I heard heard soft classical music playing, my first thought was to make a photo... but I decided it was a too cheeky and I didn't want to disturb the artist.

So I just stood there enjoying the scene, and enjoying the moment

He noticed me so I said sorry and asked if I could watch, he said ok. So I watched for a couple of minutes, just enjoying how his painting was progressing and watching his brush strokes

Then I thought well, don't ask, don't get and asked for the picture.

Worth the wait and the ask Adam, it's a great environmental portrait exactly what Leicas are for. (y) Though to be honest I could live without the photo bottom right but I get that it sets context.

Hi folks.

Anyone have any thoughts on what's the best bang for the buck with a digital M mount rangefinder? I was saving for an M10, but lost my job so that's out unless I sell my Ikon or MP and I don't really want to do that unless I have to. If it's really the best choice though, I'll go away and do the maths.

- Needs to be interchangeable lens. I've toyed with the idea of an X100/Q, but I swap between 28 & 35 quite regularly.
- Mostly to be used for street & travel. Won't be printing big (megapickles not a concern) but would be nice to have good ISO performance up to 3200
- Almost certainly will be converting everything to B&W so colour performance not an issue.
- Sharpness isn't critical to me, as I don't like the ultra-sharp look of modern digital anyway, but having something good would be useful.
- Don't want to buy anything that has unreliability issues.

Used the 135mm Leitz with its goggles and the analog viewer. Seems my eye (with glasses) might be a little off for some.

Mini figures on the 'art'


These are creative spaces, mainly art, some dance, one or two galleries and a few places with what looked like storage.
Harlemmer Houttuinen / Tussen de Bogen, NW of Centraal station...
