Which lenses were you using with it? Don't think you'll miss a lighter option as backup?
That's a reasonable justification to not need the EPM-1 as well I would say! Not played with my 20mm Panny much yet, but it's made a few nice images so far. I think the EPM-1 when it comes, will be with the 17mm pancake or 14mm pancake. I love pancakes!I used it with the 17/2.8, Sigma 30/2.8 and finally Panny 20/1.7. I just bought an X-E1 and can't justify having four cameras![]()
Where? WHERE?It's so cheap, you'd be able to sell it on for not much loss at all. Just got to pick up a lens - kit lenses going for ten a penny!
The 14-42mm R II? Given trade-in is £25-£35 maximum, I see them around for not much more second hand. Often below £50 - but then I am not certain that's what you meant - apologies if I was misleading you!Where? WHERE?
Should have put a smilie at the end of my post! :》The 14-42mm R II? Given trade-in is £25-£35 maximum, I see them around for not much more second hand. Often below £50 - but then I am not certain that's what you meant - apologies if I was misleading you!

How are you finding the XE1 against MFT. I have just sold my Xpro-1 and I am thinking of getting the OMD -E5 particularly for the extra reach with a 300mm zoom and for the 5 axis for my disabilities.
I find the touch screen of the E-PL5 amazing and the sensor is very good indeed. The camera is tiny as well.
Downsides are somewhat unresponsive buttons at times and whilst very good, the high ISO performance isn't as great as the that of the Fujis (when shooting the same scene at the same shutter speed). The lenses for the MFT system are high quality and small![]()
No problem, interesting reading. Thanks for the reply.
I love the Fuji colours and IQ, the main reason for me changing, is that currently I cant capture photos of small birds in my garden as the zoom's are to short. I initially had the 55-200 then the 50-230 but they were to short even with cropping on the 55-200. I have since tried some 300mm manual lenses but I am struggling with focus with the XP1. How have you found manual lenses on the Olympus, assuming youv'e used them with your user name.???
Apologies if I am taking the thread of track.
I find it's okay but I use the 40-150 kit lens. Sharp, but lots of chromatic aberration sadly.
Was playing football at Old Trafford today and will post one or two here that I snapped before my games.

well I have been undecided all week but the epl5 has been high on the shortlist, but with the Pana G5 being £249 I was struggling to justify the extra £70 for the Oly..
well.... I have been Currys this morning for a fondle of the Pana, quite nice well worth £249 for the kit, looks around for the Oly and find it in the glass cabinet section... FOR £219.97![]()

River Lathkill view by wontolla1, on FlickrThe elusive classifieds...I've found the touch screen so useful on the E-PL5 that I don't really use my Pen Mini any moreIt's in the classifieds if anyone is interested in my leatherette clad beauty.
Makes sense as the EPM1 is the same innards as the EPL3 and EP3 basically. EPM2 is same as EPL5 and EP5 etc...I've actually played with quite a few Pens nowThe E-PM1 focused faster than both the E-P2 and E-PL2. I think the E-PL5 is slightly faster again

few tests from me out in the garden, all jpg sooc untouched with 40-150 R attached.
one thing tests have shown is the video, its not as good as teh Nikon 1 J1 IMO but that is mainly why I wanted the Nikon in the first place so not too unhappy, I was expecting better tho from the Oly video wise.

Correct; and it (BLS-1) works 100% perfectly fine. I swear to the gods!
Extra contact is for additional safety shut-off of some sort; it's more to do with charging than in the camera - operationally it's 100% identical.
