That is an absolute beast! It's not a camera, it's a keep-fit campaign!
If anything, I think that makes the 6x9 incredibly impressive with its larger negative size...

new toy! Rolleiflex 2.8F, finally got it from eBay £895.

I won't have room to carry my SQ-A to Paris next week, so I've picked up a more 'pocketable' MF camera to take in its place:
My first test roll from the camera is currently drying in the 'darkroom'.
So far it seems like fun, although the controls and electronics are a bit quirky and the strap lugs are on the left side of the camera![]()

Sexy thing the GA645. Especially in black!
Stop it, I've just sold mine and am regretting it :0( Brilliant cameras and excellent quality for what is a point and shoot camera.

As much as I love TLR's there's something about those Rollie SL35's (and the Voightlander equivalent) that I really like. Very stylish in my opinion, I may have to invest.....

I kind of agree - but (and this is a genuine weird coincidence) I am sitting here scowling at my desk that has my SL35E, (shutter gone dodgy, mostly fires at 1/125th) my SL35M (totally locked up, but was cheap. Never actually seen a consistently working example in the flesh) and my SL35 (works really well! Beautiful condition except the winder plastic bit has fallen off and so it hurts my fingers) and wondering whether to cut my losses and ebay 2 x minty Planar 50mm f1.8's and the cameras for parts? And I LOVE Rollei 35mm's!![]()
Adding to my 'umble collection of Olympus OM System bodies, look what the wind blew in this week. It blew in from Canada as a working OM3 body two Zuiko lenses and the Sigma f/2.8 135mm lens.
Whether the Gods were favouring me this day I don't know but there was none of the usual shenanegans with Parcel Farce, HMRC, Duty, VAT, admin charges/daylight robbery for which I am truly very grateful.
The first film was delivered for processing on Friday and I shan't be able to collect it until Wednesday but everything sounds very sweet.
Yes, I know I should take a new team photo with it's OM System siblings, maybe later.
First thoughts on the OM3? I like it, I like it much.
That's very nice, I was looking for a 3 but couldn't find one I could afford so I have an OM4 on its way instead, which hopefully will be with me next week.
I've been looking, off and on, for some time and not seen one I could afford either. I actually stopped looking for 6 months.
This one, frankly, I half-wondered if I was bidding on a pup. I watched the listing, watched it not sell, saw it re-listed, wondered why I was the only bidder, figured I could could resell the lenses for around £75 to drefray the outlay....
I gave it close examination on delivery and all appears okay. The exposure display illumination doesn't work but I can live with that. There is some known stiffness in the shutter speed dial but it's not a stillson job so I'm going to see what film one turns out like (maybe I'll drive the ten miles to pick it up on Monday rather than waiting 'til Wednesday) and take it from there. I have two options, either to send it away for CLA or to dismantle/replace the shutter speed dial.
The 4 is nice: is it a 4 or a 4Ti you're getting?

I don't think I could wait I'd have to go and collect it, I'm also not convinced I'd want to take it apart but then I am technically incompetent![]()
It's only a 4 but hopefully it'll be a worker.
After lusting after one for a while I was browsing shop windows in Amsterdam this week and I saw it, a Minolta 7000 with a 35-70 sitting in a junk shop window. The guy wanted 80 Euros for it! I made a very low cheeky offer knowing he wouldn't accept it and then we settled on 40Rattled off a roll of Portra in it whilst away and had it processed today and it works great. Will post some results after scanning is done.
I am in love with this camera.
Another 7000 owner!![]()
