Here is its little brother:
I fogged my first roll, because the rewind crank should be turned the other way (duh), so all I can tell is that it focuses correctly and it looks reasonably sharp. I don't have anything to compare though.Nice collection. How do you find the 28mm?

That is a very good price for each of the two Pentax SMC primes for sure, especially the wide angle. How's the LX?![]()
What a fantastic and varied selection of cameras. It never ceases to amaze me that there seems to be an infinite number of variations of what is still essentially a light-proof box with a hole in it!
I'm loving the Ilford Advocate, what a beautiful piece of styling. I'm pretty sure my grandfather had one but it was a long time ago, I don't remeber seeing it so I may have to ask my dad if it's still around.

purchased new on 5th October 1953 at a cost of £28 3/2d (including £3 6/3d for the leather case).
Cripes! that wasn't cheap. About £600 in today's money.

Here goes nothing, already put a film through the V.P. Twin, just loaded up the Kodak Vest.
Sounds like one of my shopping tripspopped into town for a filter yesterday and got distracted....

Is that an SQ-Ai? Looks lovely.
I've got a new toy arriving later this week, something I have always coveted but have never held or even seen in the flesh before.

I agree Brian, too much camera buying and not enough picture taking.

Andy that reminds me:- I'm down to about 20 rolls of 35mm Fuji Reala 100 and have no 200 or 400 asa film. I bought 100 rolls of boxed superia 200 for £33 about 2-3 years back, but I don't suppose I'll be so lucky again.I agree Brian, too much camera buying and not enough picture taking.

Mark (Whiteflier) gave me one Free
Ditto, I've been thinning the herd once more and I'm trying to get it down to 1 or 2 35mm shooters, and one main medium format camera. I have more exposed rolls that need to be developed than cameras, which is hopefully the way it should always be![]()
Awesome thread (though I didn't have the nerve to read it whole to avoid being consumed by green envy).
I have nearly finished with my toys and will do some outing in October. By some pure luck I got an old Kiev-6C MF in really dreadful state (broken/missing leather, was exposed to really wet conditions so mechanics/shutter was working every 5th time etc). Spent 2 months repairing it, re-skinned, cleaned, re-tuned and adjusted the mechanics and shot a test roll on it. Works awesome. So taken with the success of this endeavour, I got another Kiev-60 (slightly different from 6C) in similar state and its nearly finished as well (only the matte screen focus adjustment left to be done). So it looks as though I now have 2 6x6 cameras taking Pentacon 6 mount lenses.
Whilst I was doing them I also managed to repair and clean a few Pentacon 6 lenses (Carl Zeiss 120mm Biometar and old soviet Vega 12B). Unlike some Nikkors I dealt with before - these were quite easy to service and cheap as well.
So all in all now have a nearly complete MF system - stocking my freezer with films and can't wait to try it all out![]()
Thats impressive, I wouldn't know where to start.
Andy
Must slow down, in the last month I have purchased
