As a result of a very slow motion meet with another vehicle yesterday I need a new front number plate
[ and a parking sensor , which popped out , as well as the plastic surround for my headlamp washer ]
Clearly the crumple zone there did its job. Car goes in on Wednesday to be looked at and estimate given - they know it's an insurance job .
Problem - I don't have a spare identical front number plate at present though what I do have is a set of back and front plates
My garage fitted bog standard plates which fit the spaces made for them [ Freelander ]
The plates I'd like to be put on are those which were made when Euro symbol plates came out first -
on the near side they have a blue vertical panel with the Euro Symbol at the top and underneath that are the letters GB .
On the offside there is a blue panel with a euro symbol at the top, below that a Scottish Lion Rampant and below that a Saltire
These were definitely legal then and were in fact used on all our vehicles at that time [ 2 cars , trailers, trailer tent ]
Question is - are they still legal ? I'd really like to use them again. Registration is a Cherished number
