Decided to use the pic of the Alwen reservoir dam, completed just over 100 years ago and holds back 3 miles of water so fairly robust. Water is piped to Birkenhead and the Wirral

Visited Erddig Hall, NT site, couple of days ago and some robust kit there
Nice staples on bridge

A nice set there - I think the anvil does it best for me :)

Very good set of images Keith, you picked the right one for the main thread as that is a beautiful image with great colours and bang on lighting.
Cheers Dave, was a good day up there

Thanks Dave, it looks pretty robust I wouldn’t like to try and move it

That looks like a great place to get some lovely images. I like the chosen image and the different tones / textures.
Thanks, yes it’s a nice area, quite a few walks around the Alwen reservoir, lots of conifers and wind turbines as well. Will try and get some pictures from the water side of the dam sometime.

A great set Keith, I think that you chose the right image although I do like the one of (what I think is) the mill.

Thanks Bill, pretty sure it is a mill, meant to ask but didn't see anyone in that area.

Thanks Peter, there are a few reservoirs around here- it rains bit in Wales :) I quite like the Allen as they have the tower area and in front of that there is a viewing platform.
Dam that's the best image! Good set, I really like the anvil shot as well.
Thanks Roger, I nearly used the anvil for the theme, certainly looks robust and think its seen some work over the years

Nice set. i'm with you on the chosen shot. That's certainly robust.

Good set Keith, love the colours on the second bench. I like how they've painted the entrance to the castle as a rainbow.

You've caught some nice light on the castle. Great benches though!

Benches are great and good for the theme.
Please compliment the local artist if you ever meet her/him/other.

Thanks, there are quite a few castles in N Wales, think we were a troublesome lot a few years ago

I like your chosen shot Nog and your weathervane shot/comment made me chuckle.

I like all 3, for me the one of the steps works really well, but all 3 would have fit perfectly.

Three good shots. The third is the best for me for the theme.

Thanks Bill, our dogs like y=that stile as well- about 100 metres later they are let loose and in the river
Three good images Keith, I to think you picked the right one for the main thread. They don't make them like they use to.
Cheers Dave

Thanks Jim, my favourite as well

Thanks Dave, as soon as I saw the weather vane I knew it would fit the theme, the building it is on is right on the coast, suspect north has rusted away

Fine fluffy feme foto Keith :)

I'm with Dave above. The two shots are great Keith.

Irregular - that is one heavy duty stile. Nice one.
Rubbish - the very grubby dog made me laugh but I do like the picture composition on your chosen shot.

Loving the rubbish shot, plus the last one of Charlie.
Thanks Dave, he loves y=the water but looks a scruff afterwards

Great rubbish shot for the theme Keith.

Thanks Helen, yes stile is a bit different, my daughter has started dog grooming and she has said she hopes no one sees Charlie looking like that :) , he is not a good advert when wet
Very clever image. I have an imperial shih tzu, and she jumps over / walks around puddles so no chance of her getting like that lol
Thanks Adam, yes he likes the water We have another dog which loves the water, could not see her on the beach one day- looked out to sea and it looked as though she was surfing the waves:rolleyes::). My wife was panicking, the dog though was still wagging her tail when she got back.:)

Week 24 sound

From my daughter's teenage years, I had planned a sound from the babbling brook pic but life got in the way, my daughter suggested using this old guitar, excuse the packing tape and she said some of the sharpie colours have faded over the years- green the worst she reckons

Lovely bit of history and character there :)

Looks like a well-loved instrument with a lot of history to it.
