DSC06765.jpg by Keith, on FlickrThanks Adam, yes it’s not bad up there and best of all the farmers/council have done a pretty good job clearing most of the roads.Sneaks in for the week for me. Bet there are some nice views there.
Thanks Negan, no doubt there will be more shoe horns from me sooner rather than laterGreat snowy shot and I've shoe horned in much more tenuous images![]()
Thanks Alan, I was thinking along same linesGood shoehorn to get a nice image in.
Thanks PaulI can't see a shoehorn... Definitely lines and angles. Nice image!
Thanks Dave, perhaps the line and angle was not the main subject
Maybe the lines aren't so apparent but it is a lovely shot Keith.
Works for me Keith. A lovely snowy shot with lines in it. Job done!
It's gol lines, job done. Lovely light there.
Thanks allNo shoehorn there Keith, love the angle of the hill and trees, contrasts nicely against the mountain skyline
Thanks KellDefinitely plenty of lines to justify posting a lovely image.
DSC06774.jpg by Keith, on FlickrThat’s cool
I did wonder what it was, I saw it in the main thread first.
Cheers PaulYes, that works very well. An intriguing and interesting image.
Thanks Pete, yes it has seen better daysThat's a rather good close up Keith. I can see it's an iron now but only after reading your description!
Thanks AdamWorks for me
I wouldn't have guessed iron without you mentioning it.
Thanks Alan, glad we didn’t bin itWhat a fabulous thing !
Thanks Dave, looks like an iron duckIt's a thing for sure and I like the face with the pointy nose on the left![]()
Thanks Simon, the spiders were a bonusAn excellent example of rust and decay Keith - especially with the spiders!
Cheers NickI really like the juxtaposition of the decay against the clean, clinical background.
Thanks Allan, yes it’s a bit delicate. Bits fall off whenever I pick it up.I think that wins the most rusty and decayed thing,
Think it’s a bit too late for this ironSend it to one of those YouTube restoration channels, good as new in 25 minutes.![]()
I feel that is part of a sunken / abandoned ship/boat.
It looks like it could have been a "Bitt".
Believe people used to have a few irons and swap them over when they cooled down, cold ones back on the fireI have a small collection of different sized hot-irons that I rescued from the family farm outhouse before it was torn down years ago, which my mum then rubbed down and re-blacked. Just used as fireplace ornaments now, so definitely not decayed or rusty - but might come in handy for shoehorning into a different theme sometime...
Thanks Wayne, not sure about the lovelyThats's a lovely old iron decayed and rusty.
Thanks Bill, had to use something to stop the bits falling on the tableLOL, made me laugh Keith...
Great idea using the plain white background. It really makes the image pop.
Thanks Kell, it is a bitNicely crusty.
