Hi all,
I signed up last night and I am rank amateur. I've owned a Canon 450D since the end of August.
I am a keen enthusiast though and I have managed to take about 6000 photos so far. 6 of which I'm probably happy with. Anyway that's just a pre cursor to my question.
I was offered to assist a free shoot a friend was doing at a local battle of the bands gig. Sadly she's had to now pull out but offered to lend me her flash and let me shoot it solo.
Honestly, I don't want to but I think I should.
If I go, it is tonight so basically I just wanted any advice you may have to give.
I don't want to be shooting full Auto as I'm used to the manual settings but I fear that without appropriate lighting, I will be forced to shoot blurry long exposures or use a ridiculously high ISO.
Appreciate any advice.
Lighting is basic and dull at best. Possibly some coloured overhead spots may be in use. My lenses are stock 18-55mm and an additional 28-80mm
I do have access to a flash but I'm unsure what kind yet and I do have a tripod but I doubt it will be of much use in this scenario.
