No photographs!!!

"I'm going for selection"? Yeah well Toots if you make it in then you can worry about it but until such time as you do - jog on.

Anyway, is the reason that most SF guys these days don't want photos taken not so that they have total control of their image (past and present) when they publish their memoirs?:)

My other favourite is "he's a tough bloke, he was on selection last year..."
"Did he pass?"
"Well... no..."

I can fail any course I like, so that puts me in the same league as them apparently...

I guess one of the problems is that while you know what is, and is not, in your shot, and how prominent anyone is, all the other person knows is that a camera is pointed at them.

To those that feel they should be able to get on with their hobbies without undue hassle, the idea that someone might be 'spying' on them is, perhaps understandably, something that annoys them.

But as others have said, politeness costs nothing, and so it's :thumbsdown: to the canoeist, and :thumbs: to Conor for keeping his cool
