The 50mm 1.8 S. Figured it's plenty versatile until I get the 24-70 F4 S.Nice shots, what lens are you using?
I like the 24-70 f4 except for the annoying need to 'open' the lens to use it. However it is much more compact than the 24-120 f4 that I have so I have kept it since I got my Z7.The 50mm 1.8 S. Figured it's plenty versatile until I get the 24-70 F4 S.
I really loved my 1.8 F1.8 D on my D610. Can use it well for single shots and then go vertical and stitch pano if needed, IMHO
Quick question. The Z7 mk1. Is it just that damn annoying phone app for remote triggering, or can you get a normal wired remote or IR remote?

Got a spare one from MPB a few months ago for just over £50, mint it was... You can always opt for earlier versions of the EN-EL15 such as the A and B.... I have a mix at home and they work fine on my Z8.Genuine Nikon one
Think this was for sale. c. £36000.Don’t see many decent Scooby’s anymore.

Think it had done 70k miles so quite a lot I guess…. I believe it was number 8 out of a 1000 production run.Considering some P1’s are North of £50k, not that bad if the inside is as nice as the outside.

Howick Bathing House at Sunset by Simon Lundbeck, on FlickrWe've stayed in a cottage not a stone's throw from the Bathing House. Great capture.Tried out a new (to me) location whilst on holiday in Northumberland recently - Howick Bathing House, just south of Craster. Z8 and Z 14-24 S

Thanks. We're repeat visitors to Northumberland, it's one of my favourite areas of England. We stayed a little further south this time and the bathing house was relatively close by so it seemed rude not to visit. Here's another, taken later on the same nightWe've stayed in a cottage not a stone's throw from the Bathing House. Great capture.

It's a "Talk Equipment" forum group, so maybe Nikon users are too busy making photographs with their equipment to find time to talk about itWhy is this forum group not that active?
That's what I've been attempting to do - I find the GAS is less bad if I'm out taking picturesIt's a "Talk Equipment" forum group, so maybe Nikon users are too busy making photographs with their equipment to find time to talk about it
There are other forum groups, aimed at sharing photographs rather than talking about equipment, where Nikon users are active.
Yes, my experience is that when I am engrossed in a project, I just get on with it, and GAS never enters my mind. That's what I've been attempting to do - I find the GAS is less bad if I'm out taking pictures![]()
That I can agree with, having just added the Z8 to my ZF, I am looking to sell my a7iv though to offset. That's what I've been attempting to do - I find the GAS is less bad if I'm out taking pictures![]()
And how do you find it compared to the f4 version?Looking forward to giving this a whirl tomorrow.

Also for the Z50II but with very little extra functionality - mainly a bit of bug fixingNew firmware for Zf if anyone's not seen it. Looks to be some new stuff to play with!
There is a direct comparison (MTF) between the two lenses here:Any objective thoughts on the image quality of the Z 35mm 1.8 v the 40mm f2. I’ve had the 40mm for a while now and whilst the size etc is ideal, I’m not convinced the focal length is really for me. Considering swapping in the 28 & 40 for a 35… thoughts?
I've tried both the 40mm and 35mm and went with the 35mm. Whilst there's nothing wrong with the 40mm f/2 for its money and it's size/weight is very welcome, I found the 35mm sharper and resolved better on my Z8, not such a noticeable difference on lower MP cameras. With the 35mm also a better focal length for my use.Any objective thoughts on the image quality of the Z 35mm 1.8 v the 40mm f2.
