Maybe a nearly new D4S will be advertised for under £2k?

D500 will be all you need![]()
If this really comes out I'll be selling my d7200 and using this instead! 4k video would be very useful for work too as we do a lot of filming and 4k would be great for future proofing. Bet it will be more than the £2k mark though![]()
Yep, they seem to be throwing a lot into cameras these days that don't interest me either, I think Nikon R&D need to spend some time with me before releasing the next cameraGetting far, far too complicated ... even for someone who wants everything ........ they are now getting as fully-featured as Photoshop - 90% of which most people don't use
I could do without the PRICE and VIDEO,(and all the gubbins related to)
All I want is single cell focus and it's good to see 1/8000th back ........ 35MP's is enough, probably too much
Max ISO I need is 10,000
there will be memory slots all over the camera soon
Nikon could produce a great FX camera for me for £1,000 as long as I stay in my "bird box" ..... when I am out of the box there are others that I could prefer
Nikon will be adding computer games onto the LCD next and an app for controlling your home central heating - I can just see couple of Nikon "nips" working away craming as much as they can into ever new model

D810 has 1/8000th or is that what your referring to?
Nikon now seem to be throwing new DSLR's out now every few months like Dominos Pizzas - a certain recipes for a 50% first year depreciation on UK Nikon retail prices, especially with the grey market being so popular

I don't think they've been too bad compared to some makers, their updates at least are to things that either are due an update (D5) or something new (D500).
Its been ages since the D750 and D810 were launched, the only one I can see that seems to have had a few variants in a shorter space might be the D7100/D7200?
Crikey, didn't realise I'd had it that long already (14 months). Whilst arguably not considered a direct replacement for the D610 didn't the D750 get released just under 2 years after the D610? If so it's not unreasonable to think that there would be an 'upgrade' some time this year. The D810 is slightly older than the D750 and was released just over 2 years after the D800 so again not unreasonable to assume that that might also be 'upgraded' this year either. And its to be expected the more consumer DX stuff is updated more frequently. The D750 is 1 1/2 yr old already.

Video means nothing to me in a camera, nor have I used the pop up flash,
