Nikon D80 memory card capacity

Hi all

Sorry if this has been asked before but just wondering what the maximum SD or SDHC memory card the D80 will accept.

I use a 4GiG SDHC in mine. I'm not sure of the max size though

Never seen higher than a 16 gig card and I'm pretty sure the D80 would take one.

There are 32GB ones about now but not sure if they will fit your camera, but I don`t see why not. I have never heard of a limit before.

I know certainly there are older digital cameras about which are limited in the size of card that they can take, but none that I know of in the last few years.

I know some older cameras take SD cards and not the newer SDHC cards so therefore wil be limited to 2GB.

My father just fell into this trap and bought a half price Canon compact (can`t remember the model), but he only bought it for snapshots and gets about 1300 shots at full quality, I can`t see him ever reaching that quantity. He thinks i`m batty when I take 2 or 300 in a day

I remember telling my dad that I took 800 photos at a polo tournament. His eyes nearly popped out and he said "That must have cost you a fortune!" Bless.

SDHC = 32GB for the D80

Thanks for the responses, just wanted to be sure before I splash out.

Tried SDHC cards in my D80, was 4gb ones, but they were too slow, the camera would stop dead while it cleared out the buffer. Now only use 2GB Extreme III cards, can just about fire continuously in RAW using the ExIII's.
