I can't really remember to be honest - although I would have done the old "lower the highlights, raise the shadows" bit. Thanks for the samples, just weighing everything up, undecided with the d7200 or the d750. I mainly shoot landscapes (aware a FX sensor is more suited) but why spend all that £££ if you don't need to. Have you experienced any issues in low light situations?
Cheers kellett
Wow, out of interest - can you talk us through what you did? Is this just a LR edit?
I also put it through PS to remove the emergency light glow from the window
I could, but after I'd lifted the shadows the whole window had a green glow, and thought the clone stamp tool would have done a better job. Or does LR have a clone stamp too? (rather than just spot heal?)You can do that in LightRoom too

Yep - you can clone or heal..... mind you, that's in LR6 - not certain about 5 (can't remember).
Thanks - I'll take a look.Hi @ERU - Here's a Dropbox link to the RAW (NEF) file if you wanted to have a play.

Yeah that's what I'm talking about, however I don't find it as effective as the Clone Stamp Tool in PS.![]()
looks like nikon have free grips again....https://www.nikon.co.uk/sites/promotions/battery-grip/index_uk.html
But is there any way around it?
Just bought a D7200 tonight from John Lewis which means I can leave the D7000 in the car just in case I need a shot anytime, paid £775 for body only and then went for an extra £25 off after seeing Currys had it at £552.
Will also send off for the grip which without this offer I was going to get a grey import for £599 so well happy.
Not sure whether to sell my D7000 or my D2x ?
i bought from them too...I never had any problems with third party grips in past, so not that much bothered...had mine from here:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331066606692?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITI got my camera and all I can say is "wow!!!" It's an upgrade from a D90!
However, I just applied, but got the following reply today:
Unfortunately we have been unable to process your claim at this point, for the following reason(s):-
I bought from 'Panamoz.com' so understand the reasoning why. But is there any way around it? I'd like to have a free grip
- NON UK DEALER OR PRODUCT
- EXCLUDED RETAILER

Quite early for nikon to be doing the grip offer then. Guessing it must be to up sales at Christmas rather than a replacement being on the cards.
Sounds reasonable as it's the second grip offer on a camera less than a year old.I think this is Nikons way of support UK suppliers make the Grey market not so attractive ?
You could probably buy a 7200 + nikon grip for less than the cost of a UK 7200 body.I think this is Nikons way to support UK suppliers make the Grey market not so attractive ?
That was my thinking when i bought it.You could probably buy a 7200 + nikon grip for less than the cost of a UK 7200 body.
It does sound like it is... although it could quite easily be an error on their part.So my d7200 just arrived. I got it from Amazon but it turns out it was a seller on Amazon (i didn't notice as it was the default one when you just click add to basket). It's got a two pronged plug, does that mean it's a grey import??? Would it exclude me from any warranty or from getting the free grip? Annoying as I didn't even intend to get a grey import!
How would I know where it's from/meant for? Thanks.
Well the listing says a couple of things which lead me to believe it's UK, or at least european stock.http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00...ords=d7200&dpPl=1&dpID=51ibJgh5oBL&ref=plSrch
From the seller shown there, netlynx. It says sold by them and fulfilled by Amazon now I've checked it. The instructions are in English but the little support paper inside lists contacts for Australia, hk, India, Indonesia, Malaysia...all places round there.
Hmmm, it is strange that it would state you can get a free grip, if you actually can't (it's not as if it's a 'third party seller on Amazon Marketplace either) - I'd be interested to hear what the seller has to say.
Just out of interest - may I ask what your reason for not wanting a grey import is?
Yeah as I say it was the main default listing on the item on Amazon.co.UK. No mention of the grip not being counted on the mobile version.
If it was bought from Nexlynx then it's a marketplace seller and not amazon.co.uk even though it's on amazons website. If you click on the 'new and used from £672.46' it brings up a full list of sellers of which one is listed as amazon.co.uk. The seller listed as amazon.co.uk would be amazon and it would be uk stock eligible for the free grip offer......confused yet? Buy on amazon can be a minefield.
With any other seller than amazon.co.uk it could be uk or grey stock, there isn't any way to say as the description is always the same for all sellers as it's a generic description. The free grip offer will only be offered by authorised nikon dealers, amazon.co.uk is an authorised dealer but other sellers are mostly like not.
Probably best to return stating that the listing did not mention it wasn't eligible for the grip offer on the mobile version. Get the refund and then buy from jessops or WEX to ensure you get the free grip.
I've nearly caught out by that too especially when buying memory cards on amazon. I'm not sure why amazon don't always list themselves as default. I'm guessing a marketplace seller may have paid extra to be the default option. Amazon probably know buyers will search the 'other sellers' list who them. I treat marketplace sellers like ebay sellers.Yeah will doI was aware of the marketplace sellers if you go on 'other sellers' but since it was the default listing on the page I didn't even consider it (probably my fault too) and just thought the default listing would be the Amazon one. I'm not sure how it's determined then because there are clearly cheaper ones on the marketplace so it can't be based on price.
