She will probably have a pooh fit for putting these on line but it serves her right for me having to clean her sick up at midnight haha.
I can definitely see the limitations of having one flash for shots like these.
Perhaps see if you can track down a copy of Zack Arias One Light. You'll be amazed at what you can do.
I havent fully inspected the bed yet so it aint over yetYou should be thankful it was just sick and not pooh.
If anyone is going to the photography show wait before buying tickets and have a look around for discount codes. Nikon usually send one out via a NPU email a few weeks before. It makes things a little cheaper especially against on the day prices (unless you are a pro who can get a free ticket).
im on it, seeing as the weather is pants here and she is still in bed no doubt feeling slightly rough haha
sounds like she is still rough heard a few noises from the bathroom haha.
wish the bloody sun would come out. its so dull here
Depends how you use the flash. It can be limiting, or can be creative. Ideally though if you just have one flash for things like this it helps to have a large softbox or other form of diffuser.Girls night out by Mark Kingston, on Flickr

How many free tickets can you get?Yes they do.
But I do t buy my tickets [emoji6]
Yeah i was thinking about seeing what the biggest diffuser i could get away with when the camera is on flash.Depends how you use the flash. It can be limiting, or can be creative. You're better with off camera flash. Which flash do you have as a lot of them you can fire remotely using the D750's pop up flash, it's what I tend to do as I don't have a decent lighting setup.Yeah i was thinking about seeing what the biggest diffuser i could get away with when the camera is on flash.
This was only taken in the bedroom as we have high gloss doors and thought it made ok for a background.
If and when i sort the garage out then i may look more into lighting etc............
In the mean time i shall just look more into flash on camera work

How do grids affect the light? I have one for my softbox but haven't used it@kingo15 my advice would be to spend a little more and get a soft box with a grid. A grid will completely change the look of the light.
If you have a CLS compatible flash then you should be good to go. If not then you could use it in slave mode off camera. Both are line of sight methods so can be a bit of a PITA though. A cheap set of triggers from eBay will work well though. £8 tops. A great way of getting into strobist stuff for not much cash and ideal if you don't plan on using it that much.

cold and dying nettles by Mark Kingston, on Flickryeah i can do that. I eventually got all that sussed i think when i did the picture of oscar in the back garden.
I may invest in a cheap ish light stand and a 70cm x 70cm soft box.
I have been looking at getting 2 neewer flashes with triggers for 80 quid but not sure ill get the use out of them.
Mind you that could be said for most of equipment haha
There's sample variation but if you get a good copy both are very good. As a general walkabout lens I personally prefer the 24-120 for the extra reach, but it is heavier.I am thinking of a mid range zoom for my D750, looks like the Nikon 24-85mm f3.5-4.5 AFS G or Nikon 24-120 f4. Some reviews of 24-85 don't really rate it. What are users thoughts. I notice some D750 and indeed Df users have one or the other.

24-85 is such a lovely lens.

Peak design slide.Decided I need to get a better strap for the camera. I've had a search through here but people against the black rapid but couldn't find a mention of what is being used

I still have my BR sport too but never use it since getting the peak design. Great quality strap but just bugs me how the camera spins around as you're walking. Also the quick release strap on the peak design is a godsendB

Joby Pro Sling for me had it about 2yrs now and find it exceptionally good. Tucks away tight on hip but one flick of release frees it to take photos. Mine came with the tether but think this may now be an extra but worth it for peace of mind. The only downside is if you want to remove camera from strap to attach tripod you have to unscrew (by hand7 from the tripod fixing.Decided I need to get a better strap for the camera.
