Nikon D750 & D780

That's part of the combo I have which looks like this

I guess you could do it without the big rubber eyepiece and just have that plastic ring but not sure how comfortable it'd be.

Ahh ... That eyecup looks big in the pic. Can you get smaller ones?

D750 eyecups are a real minefield...

What about the original eyecup from the D800 etc? The one you'd screw off to replace with the bigger one above? Does kinda seem pointless though to me as it's not really an eyecup.

Had a weird thing happen today. Had an artefact on some images today which looked like it was something possibly stuck to the sensor (much more than a dust spot and was only f8) but it wasn't there on the first lot of images, then appeared in exactly the same place on about 20 shots then on series of 3 shots moved across the frame to the right and then disappeared again and wasn't present on the rest. Didn't notice until I uploaded to the computer and so did some tests shooting at the sky and f16 and all it revealed was the much more subtle dust spots. Any ideas what it was?

Not that I'm aware of. It doesn't look as big in the flesh but still considerably larger than the original.

Where do you put or store your camera? I ask this as I did read that someone used to put their camera on the carpet and some carpet mites got inside and made home. As you said the spot /dust moved.
Just an idea.

This looks awful and I've no idea why you would want to live there...

Shouldn't do as it's weather sealed, but it's been on a tripod anyway.

Enjoying the D750's capabilities. Night shots are a breeze. (In case anyone wonders, no star filters used... 28mm manual PC Nikkor.)

Don't need star filters just a wide aperture gives the effect :)

Lovely image that really is nice

I'm sure you meant small aperture ;)

Thanks, glad you like it! Yes, this old lens does give particularly nice star flares. Aperture used was f11, so not that small.

I don't need one with the D750. Because of its superior build quality.....
Apart from the eyepiece [emoji1]

Mind you last time I took the pee out of people for losing their eyepiece. Mine fell off and found it in my bag [emoji33] [emoji33]

Well yes, apart from that frigging eyepiece

The black speck is most likely loose dust/grit that a blower should shift. If had that when the speck moves after each shot or so. The rocket blower has sorted it.

The white thing is an arrow. :)
