So much for my daughters garden party, yesterday. Poxy weather, so plan B,C and D got implemented and had to move indoors ... hey ho.
This was the table :)

You need to do some pics with her mate, she has such a great 'look' that you could do some great shots with.
Thanks David
I try mate, believe me. But she needs to be in the mood, or I`ve got no chance ...

Yup, when they`re small, it`s as though all you have to do is reach for the camera and they are already posing ...

Our 13 year old will promise a shoot but after 2 minutes she's bored and pulling faces. Should have 3 years with Rosie until I struggle. Planning her year old shoot [emoji3]

70-200 VRII. Good and bad. Good as in sharp, bad as in too bloody long at the short end!

Should have gone with the 28-300. ;)
I know. :(

TBH I got p***ed off with the 70-200 and came home early. I keep thinking of selling it because I use it so little. But I know that the minute it goes I'll have a use for it...

Easy to shoot? Looks pretty damn hard to me!
Easy whilst they're going over Chatsworth Estate as they're quite a way off, that one was tricky as it flew straight over us pretty low (minimal cropping on the photo; 5800 X 3872), and obviously very very fast. I'm just chuffed I managed to get it fully in the frame and didn't clip a bit off ;)

Here's a moody one from yesterday.

The Defiant One

Really didn't appreciate this earlier on a phone, but on a bigger screen I likey! I suppose the kind of thing I would make a little effort for, though I haven't a very good eye for landscape. Have you decorated any rooms with these? I kept wanting a nice pano landscape in my office but lost interest trying to get something worth hanging ha.

I have precisely zero landscapes around the house. Have a few of the kids but not many. I am usually too tight to pay for printing.

I never seem to think that much of them tbh. Don't get me wrong, I like them but perhaps not enough to have them on the wall.

And I'm tight.

I get that, it's a photographers nemesis - being too critical of your own stuff. It's why I don't like landscapes, find them so underwhelming when I make the effort.

Time and effort = rewards, for sure. But, you do need to invest a lot of time into landscapes. Keep saying it's my retirement plan, but if I get there I'll probably not have the energy for it by then. I do have one landscape that is itching so may make the effort at some point soon.

@Stu Meech makes a massive effort. He travels all over the country for one shot. I just dick about on a Saturday/Sunday morning whilst the missus and kids are in the land of nod.

It's Stu's shots of Clevedon Pier that makes me want to go do that, it's only an hour and a half from me. That's proper dedication!
