Nikon D750 & D780

It's Stu's shots of Clevedon Pier that makes me want to go do that, it's only an hour and a half from me. That's proper dedication!

The nearest Motorway is that long a drive from mine. 1 1/2 hours away. But it's amazing what you can find down here in the sticks.

I look at all your recent landscape work. And think I'd love to do that. But then realise we have no hills no pretty views round here. :(

You should see where I am, mate ... Pancake land. We do have some rolling hills towards the coast though.

@Stu Meech makes a massive effort. He travels all over the country for one shot. I just dick about on a Saturday/Sunday morning whilst the missus and kids are in the land of nod.
Thanks for the shout out mate! In reality, it's a large degree of luck I have to work all over the country - so always chuck my camera bag in the car just in case! Plus family at either end of England helps!

Clevedon Pier is about an hour and a half from my house too! Nearest bit of decent coast. Hope you get down there soon!

Well as I figured, something was bound to go wrong. Email from Tina at Panama to say the Tamron 28-75 is out of stock and no idea when they'll get it in.

So, refund for that at some point, but they did good and have told me they'll still give me the £15 discount, which is nice...:) Back to trying to decide what zoom to get now though:thinking: Might see if I can bag a secondhand 24-70 VC, as I just can't afford a Nikon right now

Quick, easy and a lot of luck...managed to find a Tamron 24-70mm VC for £400:cool:

Hoping there's no complications with this order now:rolleyes:

I must give it a go Stu. We did stop off briefly on the way back from Breen last year, vowed to go back.

I kinda wish that were the case for me too Martin, though I'd need to change career path.

Anyway, as we've discussed everything on this thread, @ Minnt: what's best practice for a decent lawn for over winter [emoji14] seriously, destroyed my last autumn, newly laid turf this spring with being too heavy handed with the weed and feed, it's still patchy.

You think @minnnt knows ? He's always on here, not having a fork in the local park

:exit:

Sounds like you need to get some seed mate. Get a bag of top soil and some silver sand if you can. Use plenty of seed on the patches and cover it over with the soil/sand mixture. Give it plenty of water and you should be sorted. Do it before the weather turns cold though as you'll need above 7°C for it to germinate. (y)

Got roped into going to Disney land Paris next month for a long weekend. Do I asked the d750 or the rx100 mk3. It's mainly for my 6 yr old step son. Decisions decisions (n)

Thanks very much, too kind. It's the Tamron 150-600mm.

Not at all, you make the effort and thankfully share with us(y)

Much appreciate letting me know the lens too!

Absolutely bloody brilliant.
I love the red arrows. You have definitely done them justice.
From reading the exit data on Flickr. I take it you put in manual. Set the shutter speed and aperture to what you wanted. Then just set iso to auto so the camera worked out the witchcraft

Thanks :) Yep, exactly right although I did use exposure comp from time to time. Wasn't easy as we were facing the sun a lot and so things were silhouetted and/or lacking contrast. Thanks god for Lightroom

I've never thought of doing it that way. This is why this forum is great everyday is a learning day. I've learnt more over these past few months then I have since taking up photography.
I must start using light room. Can't just stick to cs6 all the time. But I just find it loads quicker. I just find lr6 just so confusing.

Love the idea of that one.
Shame about the tw*t on his phone though, and the girl next to him with her back to you.

I would imagine she`s saying "put your `kin` phone away" ;)

Yeah, there's always one or two sadly :/

I haven't looked the rest of the ones we did yet, got another wedding to finish off first

Wow really liking these Toby, great days work. Can I ask what A/F mode you used please?

ALl these are great but I love the last one - it's wonderful and should be displayed BIG!!

Thanks very much. AF mode was mainly group AF, with some single point. All AF-C of course,

Glad you`re happy with it matey
