Nikon D750 & D780

Probably, although as I said I've not done any landscapes as yet with it so will reserve full judgement until then (y). I can't see any reason why the 24-120mm wouldn't be sharp enough though tbh.
Look forward to seeing some of your landscape photos with the 24-120 Toby.

Tamron 24-70 just arrived. Camera at home so can't test till later.

Zoom seems smooth and tight, but there is a slight bit of play when you move off from 24mm. In actual fact, you only notice it if you wiggle the zoom slightly at 24mm. In real life zooming you cant tell. Its no worse than the Nikon 24-120 I tired. Talking like a mm!

The owl picture is great, very striking. There is another thread on here about car washing- looks like snow foam on the ground 2nd picture

Thank you Keith

Yes it is snow foam there's a picture of the mini mid wash in that thread looking very different to the one in my last post!

I don't get to do much landscape with the D750 as I have the D800 to play with.... the lens though is more than up to the task.

24-120mm at 24mm but on a D800

Both these albums were taken with the 24-120mm but with a D800. I've not done too much landscape with the 750 - only night-time stuff which was quite amazing.

Thanks Barry they are lovely and show how good the lens can be

Oh it's quite good at transferring files, I just find it awful as a remote trigger
Yes, it's terrible.

Locks out all the settings so unless you got your aperture, shutter speed, ISO sorted before you fired up the app, you are screwed!

It only good if the file is small and you don't have lots of files on the card as it times out frequently and drops the connection.

As you have to connect your device to the cameras Wi-Fi I suspect that with all the other Wi-Fi connections around the device or camera gets confused and drops out - my humble opinion.

I would like to mention an observation ,looking at photos on Flikr of the Nikon 24-120 F4 my impression is that the colours generally are quite strong, more noticeable than say the 18-35g which I've looked at also, has anyone else noticed this or is it just the LSD i took today ? ;)

Must be the LSD ;)

On a more serious and less slanderous note, the 24-120 has nano coat this can produce images with more "saturation" or pop if you like. Having said that, with half decent processing the 18-35 is no slouch ...

The spring on my SD card cover/door has started to make a loud grating/creaking noise, guess it needs some WD40

All triggers are just that though, surely? Only really used it the other week when I boomed the camera above the family for a family shot, worked fine and focused well. Tend to shoot manually anyway so no need to remotely change settings for me. Wonder what the distance limitation would be?

But you can't even change the settings on the camera while the app is connected. If you had a normal trigger you can still alter the parameters on the body. WMU is useful though, just far from perfect!

Ah ha, that makes sense then. Hadn't noticed that but understand is a bit limiting.

I thought it was a penetrating oil! Oil (ok, there may not be much of it) being a lubricant.

It's a solvent/water displacement. There are far better lubricants that don't dry out.

I've noticed a couple of issues with files being saved by the D750.
The other day I imported files in to Lightroom and I couldn't work on one of the RAW files as it said "Unexpected End of File".
Also tonight, I fired a could of shots on quick succession and when I viewed them on the computer the first of the jpegs was corrupt and when I viewed it in the camera it said "Cannot Display File".
I've reformatted the cards again but just wondered if anyone else had seen this before or knew what could cause this.
