HORIZONTAL3 by Mark Gameson, on FlickrI've just seen that Nikon have released Snapbridge on Android. Anyone tried it with the D750 (not got my camera with me to try). It says camera needs Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and the D750 has the latter. Would it be better than the WMU?

All excellent lenses and depends what you want to shoot.Ok
Top of my list is the nikon 18-35g to go with my 50 1.8 then eventually a 70-200 F4 vr
Other options 24-85 or 24-120 instead
Walkabout photography and some tripod land shots are my main interest.
Any suggestions gratefully received

Yep excellent lens. Nikon do some really nice lenses in this 'walkabout' length with the 24-70mm, 24-85mm and 24-120mm f4.the 24 85 seems to get some really good reviews
I recently bought the 24-120mm f4 from Panamoz for £464 recently if you're happy to buy grey? I got the 18-35mm G from amazon as had vouchers.I`m looking for the 18-35 for landscape to go with a 24-120 f4 and 85 1.8. let me know if you see any bargains, was watching in amazon at £500 but now £550

Toby you have the 24-120 plus the 18-35 do you find the 18-35 from 24-35 better than the 24-35 of the 24-120? and if you could live without the 18-23 would you have not bothered buying the 18-24?All excellent lenses and depends what you want to shoot.
wow that was expensive then, its a lot cheaper now.I do like the idea of such a wide coverage but wonder how much quality you lose compared to say a prime or shorter zoomI was in Dubai Airport about 2 years ago and thought about the 24-120 in their 'duty free' shop.... it worked out about £935 which was actually higher than the (then) UK highstreet price of £785![]()

Keith if you get the 18-35 and you also have the 85 do you think your 24-120 will get a lot less use and how do you find the 85 compared to 85 on the zoom,is there a big difference at F4 on both?I`m looking for the 18-35 for landscape to go with a 24-120 f4 and 85 1.8. let me know if you see any bargains, was watching in amazon at £500 but now £550
I haven't done a comparison tbh, they are for different purposes and as yet haven't taken any landscapes with the 24-120mm.Toby you have the 24-120 plus the 18-35 do you find the 18-35 from 24-35 better than the 24-35 of the 24-120?
Not sure which lenses you're referring to with the first bit, but the 24-85mm was made for the more budget minded, it just happens that it's really sharpand if you could live without the 18-23 would you have not bothered buying the 18-24?
there are bound to be some weaknesses of the longer zoom otherwise why buy a 24-85 for example but are they that noticeable after lens correction and when viewed on a mac and not printed ?
There's always compromises, but overall I'm very happy with the 24-120mm f4. I'd seen mixed reviews but I've found it better than expected.wow that was expensive then, its a lot cheaper now.I do like the idea of such a wide coverage but wonder how much quality you lose compared to say a prime or shorter zoom
Cheers, i was not clear- have the 24-120 and 85, got the 24-120 from panamoz as part of kit. bit annoyed with myself for not getting the 18-35 from amazon at £500. Problem is it would break my heart (I`m too tight) to buy at £550![]()
I'm an Man U fan and hope Leicester beat us as I want them to win the title. It may send a wake up call to the over paid pre marandonas at the big clubs and I include the Man U players in that statement

Probably, although as I said I've not done any landscapes as yet with it so will reserve full judgement until thensorry my bad, i meant if you didn't need the wide end of the 18-35 would you make do with the 24-120?

i was thinking 18-35 50 85
OR
18-35 50 70-200F4
or
just get the 24-120
thanks Pete, how do you like the 18-35?how is it at 35mm?I have the 18-35mm, 50mm and 70-200mm f4 combination. My only other lens is a 90mm macro. It suits me as a set although the 70-200 is quite heavy for a walkabout lens.
I just want a 300 f4 now but will have to save the pennies for a while yet.
