Nikon D750 & D780

Borrowing a 24-120 F4 for the weekend - see how I get on with it!

People who bought grey d750's , is there any issue with the recall or do nikon just treat them all the same?

You deserve to be made to wait for that comment.

Any ideas if Larmor make screen protectors for windscreens?

Not quite Larmor, but this should work...;)

Mines also affected and they're happy to sort it.

Also, for any other warranty work Panamoz just tell you to contact Nikon for the work and get a quote and they will pay for the repair. Nikon aren't bothered, the money is all the same to them.

After much deliberation I've ordered the Pixel Vertax Battery grip, fingers crossed I like it better than the Meike. The DSTE gets good reviews too so might try that one if the Pixel one's no good ;) Will post my thoughts when it arrives.

I returned my Meike one yesterday and also ordered this. Pity they dont offer the remote as well.

TBH I wouldn't use a remote with this so it doesn't bother me.

The DSTE looks more like my Nikon grip than the Pixel one going by the photos on Amazon.

Since my last post I have ordered this one as well to see which I prefer and will return the one (or both) I don't like ;)

Just cancelled my order, will wait for feeback from Snerkler and then order accordingly. On the plus side you can get two extra batteries with the DTSE.

Not on the one I ordered, cheaper without so only £37 odd. Strange thing is in the checkout it said a promotion had been added and I got a further £10.51 off :D

Can I ask where you have ordered yours from.

I think I'm going to crack soon and buy a D750. Grays have got one with 24-120/f4 barely used (200 shots) for £1739. What do you think? Am I going to find a better deal without going grey import?

For the sake of £60 I'd be buying new, £1739 doesn't sound a good price to me for used.

A £60 discount for a used body doesn't seem like a lot tbh.

If you are worried about going grey for the body it would still work out cheaper to buy a U.K body only and get the lens grey. Nikon treats Grey and U.K lenses exactly the same in terms of warranty etc.

Then again Panamoz have the kit for £1430 don't really see an issue buying grey these days.

Didn't think to look before but Grays are doing them new at £1789 so that's only a £50 saving. I hadn't realised that new prices have adjusted a bit. I was hoping there might be a used deal around that somebody had spotted but it looks like panamoz are the way to go.

It's a £360 saving from Panamoz so definitely worth considering imo.

Few pics from Beaulieu National Motor Museum at the weekend. Not the best shots I've ever taken, but the layout made it very awkward for photography and add to this people walking in front of you all the time I was fighting a losing battle. That being said I was pleased with the performance of the 24-120mm at least ;)

As always, more on Flickr

The one Grays are selling is the one I returned so I can vouch that its immaculate. I could not get on with it. Grays customer service was superb though.

Nice sharp pics, I'll have to get myself there at some point.

Useful info (y) Doesn't stop it being pricey though ;)

Thanks. Definitely worth the trip. the vintage cars are stunning (y)

I haven`t been there in years. Do they still have the old #47 bus? That was one of my local ones :)

I`d also like to hear how you get on with that grip, mate.

Well Went up to the Lakes over the bank holiday weekend.. Took the little one to the little Zoo that was near where we were staying and I was disappointed as couldn't take images as I wanted to as where the animals were I could only take images through glass which were reflective and dirty.. So I can wait to get to Yorkshire Wildlife Park which I believe is a great place.

But anywhere I will add 3 images here to show that I am trying...

I don't recall seeing it tbh.

I'll be sure to post my thoughts on the two grips when they arrive.

Told you it had snowed...

That's a beauty, David. You definitely had better weather than me at the weekend :( Although my mountains might have been a tad bigger and scarier ;) If only I could convince my walking/climbing pal to stay out until we're needing head torches - I could get some decent shots!!

Currently assessing my options for d750 ownership - not convinced I "need" it but I am fairly convinced I "want" it. This is obviously the wrong thread for anyone to talk me out of it though!!
