Nikon D750 & D780

Used the d750 side by side with the d800 tonight. Seemed to handle white balance differently.......although I shoot raw anyway and the files are very lovely!

Thanks for the answers guys. I don't print atm so would i see any benefit?
Depends on your screen res. I did a few tests viewing D810 files at full res and then downsizing to 2MP (my laptop screen i1680 x 1050 so 1.7MP) and I couldn't see any difference at all between the images when viewed at full screen without zooming.

Two very nice shots Simon, both well composed with some good detail. #1 would be my fav'.(y)

George.

Thanks George.

I liked the LTT also, they are my favourite birds and have a group of up to sixteen visiting the garden daily so should get some practice with them. Managed to get this one yesterday, just wish this rain would stop and we could get some winter sun and better light.

Awesome shot, would love to do stuff like this but don't have the patience

Two shots from road testing the camera whilst on Holiday. The only thing I have noticed is that when shooting multiple shots on (Cl), the exposure seems off between images (this is probably user error)

First was shot on the Sigma 24mm Art, the second on the 24-120 lens

Picked up my 50 1.8g today and with the D750 it makes such a quality yet lightweight(ish) package. Much better for me than the 24-120

Glad you like it! Slightly regret letting it go but couldn't justify keeping it! It's a great little lens with a quality that belies it's price!

Was editing a wedding my wife shot with a friend... 5D3 files alongside D750. Last time I edited 5D3 files was pre-D750 and I thought the Canon colours were good, but next to the D750 they look all wrong. Skin tone is too red, the greens are horrendous looking at times. Also, the shadow recovery and general dynamic range/noise is noticeably inferior.

I went back to re-edit a few the other week from my old 5D2 and the difference you mention above was noticeable Deci. The files are so much easier to work with.

FYI, at the same iso's the d750 has more dynamic range at all sensitivities than the d800.
Yep, the DR at even the highest iso setting is staggering.

Not sure about you David, but I can't wait. Hurry up will you.

No. Let's try and keep this thread to D750. I know every other topic has been discussed in here but let's leave the D5 and D500 to other thread.

Mind you, I can still imagine some who have just bought the D750 putting it up on the classifieds for one or both of these cameras lol

Nikons action cam looks good.

But yes, back to the 750 [emoji2]

That's the thing with new releases, some will upgrade to them just to have the latest thing whether it's needed or not. I'm happy with the d750, it's plenty of camera for me and it's definitely user limited rather than camera limited. I've never understood the whole pro body thing, I find the d750 sized 'consumer' body just the right size. The button layout is fine with me, everything within reach and I've never understood the whole BBF thing for birds in flight/action (I only ever use BBF with landscapes on a tripod as it's easier than constantly switching auto/manual focus switch on the lens). I also noticed at the weekend the d7200 I've picked up as a second body is exactly the same button layout as the d750 except the info button. At least it makes switching cameras easier.

I see the D500 is a DX camera .....phew!! And the D5 is a monster.... I am happy with my choice (get it tomorrow)

Just thought seeing as the D750 has a screen with no white cover thing what are people recommending for a screen protector ?

I wouldn't worry the d500's 153 focus points will be a pain to scroll through!

I picked up a stick screen protector off amazon. It does the job ok.
