Nikon D750 & D780

Any you guys who got a d750 came from a canon 5d mkiii would love to hear your though

I have and I got admit I sometime miss the canon due to the handling and q menu and accessing settings. This prob cos I been a canon user for 10 years.

But the d750 is producing better images
 
Weather looked woeful on tv yesterday :(
 
Blimey the dog pin sharp sometime I wishes I had the 1.4 lens than 1.8. Is it Nikon
 
Notice you the 24-85 lens. I though about that as. Good price but keep holding of for the 24-120

A couple of shots taken with the D750 on my first visit to a racecourse. The first one was with the Nikkor 24-70 and the second one with the Nikkor 105 f/2.8. The 105 is supposed to be slow to focus but I think it did a good job here.

That is a lovely pic and what an adorable pup. Since you have your setting as 'Edit my images' set to Yes, would you mind if I attempt a quick edit of this pic and post here?

Great series of shots. If I"m being extra picky (which I usually am ;)) the panning ones aren't quite as sharp as I'd like, but it's difficult at 1/125. Still very nice though.The "Get your rocks off" pic is superb, definitely the stand out for me.
 
Just had a look at your set and theres some crackers there David. I like the Rocks off, along with the DS3 one with the landscape, the mist really adds to the photo. Had a couple of new lenses (SH) this week and with the weather I haven't had a chance to try them out as such. Had a quick go with the 35mm f2 and managed to get this one of the mutt when he would keep still for a couple of seconds. Seems to perform okay wide open, the last one I had, I had to stop down to f4 for it too sharpen up a bit, although that was on the D7000. So this lens looks promising so far on the D750.

Lol, I know but I like the subject to be pin sharp, but as I said, I was being extra picky as you set the bar so high :p :D To be fair to get the one at 1/30 to be sharp at all is pretty impressive to say the learst, if I took it you'd probably not even make out it was a car :LOL:

Nice. I am torn between the 35 f2, 1.8 and the Tammy F1.8. Read Lenstip reviews of all three last night and seems Tammy is ahead in my analysis.

For the price I paid, £134 from Wex, it will meet my expectations as its not a focal length I will use a lot, but that may change. I have only taken about 20 photos with the lens of the mutt and my initial impressions, I'm happy. It also seems better than the last copy I had on the D7000, but that maybe down to the D750. The lightweight of the lens is also a bonus for me.

Wex had another one in this week for £127, but I have just checked and it's gone. It maybe worth your while keeping an eye on their website. People maybe chopping them in against the Sigma Arts, as they seem to come up for sale often on their website.

I must admit that I'm seriously considering getting rid of my D7200... It hardly ever sees the light of day because the D750 is so good and the conditions at the rally yesterday just reinforced that belief. :)

This was shot under the trees with the new Sigma 150-600mm Sport. The D750's high ISO performance is as stunning as Sebastien Ogier's! :D

Another couple from Skye. We ended up messing about with my mates new car while waiting to see if the sun did anything , it didn't but I quite liked the shot of his car .

All taken with the 750 and Tamron 15/30 2.8

Thanks Simon. I was really happy with the D7000's performance. The car in your link is a Fiesta. They were certainly giving it the beans. The amount of lift is astonishing to see in real life.

I've been thinking of replacing the D7000 with one. I quite enjoyed using the crop body yesterday... But then i didn't have a 150-600. :p

I am back, I unsubscribed for a while as the temptation was getting too much.

Seriously need video on my DSLR so I will be taking the jump very soon. I will be having a huge sell up to fund it though and currently working out my finances etc, I will be importing with Panamoz, is the 24-120mm a good option? It seems a good price but never really got on with kit lenses, or is it more than that? Considering selling everything and just starting again.

Currently have D700, 35mm 1.8fx and 85mm 1.4d.

It only became a "kit" lens with the introduction of the D750 as far as I know. But the D750 is a Pro-sumer camera so it was given decent lens. That's my take on it anyway. It's a decent performer and way out does its predecessors.

Don't get me wrong, the D7200 is an excellent camera but with the conditions we faced yesterday and the fact that the aperture on the Sigma is pretty slow, I really needed the performance of the D750's sensor. :)

With hindsight, I should have stuck my 85mm on the D7200 and played around with that as well. :D

I have one and like it a lot (my lazy lens). I think it`s a good all rounder for a one lens trip out.
